Our recent stay at the The Glam Hotel was truly phenomenal. This is a small boutique hotel perfectly situated for exploring the Eternal City, but far enough away from the madness of the big tourist attractions that we were able to find quiet when we needed to rest. The rooms are very comfortable and extremely clean. There is a beautiful breakfast room on the top floor with both indoor and outdoor seating. The hotel is also walking distance to lots of terrific restaurants. As much as I loved the location and the comfort of the rooms, it was the gracious and attentive hotel staff that really made our stay special. One example was the assistance we received late one night from Daniel at the front desk. We were struggling to download our COVID test results from a local clinic. Frustrated and annoyed, I called the front desk seeking help. I was hardly in good form, but Daniel was sympathetic, patient and kind. He offered to help and within a few minutes I had my test results. This may not seem like a big deal, but because of his assistance I didn't have to spend my final day in Rome making phone calls or running around trying to get another test. Instead, the last day was relaxing and enjoyable and I can't wait to return.

Be very wary when booking the Glam Hotel in Rome. We were booked to stay at the Glam Hotel in May 2020 but we had to cancel of course because of COVID. The Hotel told us by email that we could have a credit for our booking until December 2022. However, now that we want to make a booking for October 2022 the hotel will not respond to our requests to honour our credit with them. The credit totalled EUR 1,145.70 - a substantial amount of money to lose.

We only stayed one night, as we were traveling to the south of Italy and just passing through, but we loved our stay. The building, rooms, and rooftop were all top notch! Very clean, expensive finishes, helpful/friendly staff, not to mention amazing location. We would definitely stay here again when traveling to Rome.

The location of the hotel is good, and the people at the reception were really nice too. The room was nice, but for 5 days did not change the linens !! The maintenance is not good, at my sister the shower faucet was broken and they informed her that they would only fix it tomorrow ?? No help with luggage !!! And worst breakfast !! Poor service, ask for coffee get after 20 minutes and arrive cold !! Buffet really really shabby, no hard boiled egg or omelet, and the scrambled eggs were very bad !!! By and large it is better to order without breakfast!

I have never given a hotel a 2 star review, but unfortunately The Glam fell short in almost all areas. AG hotel group transferred our reservation from The Independent to The Glam with no explanation. On arrival we were given 2 of our 4 rooms, which was nice because we checked in very early following an overnight flight. However, one of the rooms faced a very noisy street when I had requested courtyard rooms. The WiFi in the hotel is very poor, kept dropping and made mapping and planning with our phones very difficult. When I inquired about the free phones that guests can check out to carry around the city for navigation, I was told this did not exist (even though it’s mentioned in several other reviews). We had problems with numerous things in our rooms — broken hairdryers (2x), broken coffee maker, bathtub/shower that wouldn’t drain. Maintenance addressed all of these issues immediately, however I felt like I was constantly at the front desk reporting another probkem. We were charged for drinks from the mini-bar that we never drank, although they removed the charges at my request. We were told that water bottles were complimentary in the mini-fridges, but these were never replenished and 2 of the rooms never had water at all. The rooms are rather dark and dreary; the bathrooms impossibly small with about 2 inches of counter space to put your toiletries. Staff was sometimes friendly and helpful, sometimes not, depending on who happened to be working. The hotel was simply not a good experience and I would not choose AG hotels again.
