Hotel Zara is close to the main central railway station, which makes it a great base for exploring Naples and surrounding areas. Very handy for visiting Mt. Vesuvius, Herculaneum (Ercolano) and Pompeii, and also Sorrento and beyond; plus rail fares are quite cheap.
The hotel isn't in the friendliest or what appears to be the safest of places.
