It’s really very basic. Very noisy and very expensive for what it is. It seems to be a bit of a rough area, the hotel was dated and dirty. In the evenings there was always groups of youngsters hanging about in the cafe downstairs, even lighting fireworks right on the street.

It’s an average hotel, at an average price. We arrived this morning, checked in fine. Requested 2 more pillows as there was only one each, went out for the day and came back to just 1 more pillow. The room is noisy, our window, well half a window, looks out onto the busy street out the front. It’s also very cold in the room. It also smells very strongly of cigarette smoke 🤮 It took us about 1 hour to walk down to the main streets/town, it was quite a pleasant walk down, but we couldn’t face walking back. Taxis are very expensive, and they make it up, I saw the price of €10.85 but when I handed him €12 he told me no it’s €10 and another €5, I felt uncomfortable arguing so just paid him but will be very wary now and probably just walk everywhere. Taxi from airport cost us €25, I reckon we could actually walk to the airport from here. I’m glad we are only here for a weekend stay, anything more than a couple of nights and I would of probably changed hotels. But it’s a nice cheap get away, well the hotel is cheap, the shops etc not so much, it’s an expensive city.

Was a cheap holiday so wasn’t expecting the ritz. Was worried as bad reviews. But pleasantly surprised. Basic very adequate clean on arrival. But no housekeeping for 9 days Got few clean towels now and again Good shower friendly staff. But offer no service really. Can’t get an iron. I liked hotel. I definitely would use again. Great location. Noisy people and traffic all night but I was on top floor so muffled noise a bit. No form of food service in hotel although right outside good cafes bars for snacks. Down the road few good restaurants. Bus stops directly outside hotel. Very frequently Got a 7 day pass included metro too €16 fantastic value. Had quite a few tiny ants in room mentioned it asked them to spray ants they did this on last night 9 th They did offer to move us to another room but couldn’t be bothered to repack and unpack. Fittings in bathroom loose ie hairdryer toilet lid. Shower fantastic nice and hot. I definitely go again. Rooftop out of use. Just storing stuff up there. But great views In room was a kettle one cup no tea or coffee. No glasses has a good fridge. We had nice coffee and cakes outside hotel. We went sorrento €30 each return from port Bevello I booked online Direct Ferries. Very good at port no problems well organised. Capri I was told by a few said horrible and buy. Sorrento absolutly amazing

Stayed for 3 nights as a base to visit Pompei. The room was had a poor standard of cleanliness, the safe did not work and the WiFi only worked when we sat by the door. I reported the safe to the receptionist but it was never addressed. There were no tea and coffee making facilities in the room as listed on the website. The toiletries were never replenished and the used towels removed and replaced so we had to ask for towels. There was no lighting on the stairs and when we checked out a different receptionist tried to charge the room tax again. The bar on the street had loud music and usually louder around midnight and on the first night there were on street fireworks. If you don’t mind all the above and accept it is definitely not 4* the location is great to explore Naples as central base and there are some lovely cafes, bars and restaurants close by and it is only a 20 min walk to the train station.

Staff was nice and helpful, the room was ok. The problem was the unbearable noise during the night. Even with closed windows you felt like party is happening next to your bed. Hundreds of youngsters geather together at the bars next door. We were there for only one night, had to catch the plane early morning, leaving at 5.50 am. Frankly I got up 10 times durng the 6 hour period. It was a terrible night, if you want to get some rest DO NOT go to this hotel.

Just arrived back from a week staying in Hotel Ferdinando II, Naples, Italy. The hotel itself is adequate. It is certainly NOT a 4 star hotel. It is a 2 at best! I am guessing that the photos we saw are from when the hotel was new! Room was cleaned to an acceptable level. The continental breakfast was adequate. The staff were very helpful. The standout person was Fredericha on reception. She advised us on trips and different ways of doing them, not trying to sell us anything. The real downside was the nightly gathering of young people at the ristorante next door. It felt like we were being held hostage every night, sometimes up until 0330! All in all, you get what you pay for. It is a clean, comfortable place to put your head, but you may not get much sleep due to traffic noise and fireworks! We will NOT be going back to Hotel Ferdinando II!

I stayed here for 3 days in July 2019. It was very reasonably priced. I thought the hotel had an excellent location. Really close to the airport and about 20 minutes walk to some attractive central areas of Naples. The hotel itself was pleasant, with a lovely roof garden to eat your breakfast in. Naples is such a vibrant, chaotic city with so much personality! I would love to return here and I would be happy to stay in this hotel again.

I was quite apprehensive before coming to Naples and this hotel. Nothing at all to worry about, the hotel is clean and the staff are very friendly. I was worried about coming to Naples after all the things I read but I actually feel safe, a few streets I wouldn't walk down but I didnt have to anyway. It's a great place to make your base for Rome and Sorrento. Breakfast was good as I only like a roll with cheese and cold meat and yogurt and fruit anyway. I can't fault this hotel at all

I would not recommend this hotel for tourists. The piazza it’s located in is “sketchy” at best for a solo female traveler. The room itself overlooked the Main Street and was very loud. The bar below is open late so all the noise from that was easily heard. The room itself was clean-ish except the bed was filthy. The bedspread was in desperate need of being washed (stained and very dirty). The linens underneath were full of several strands of hair—not from me. It was really gross. There was no mattress cover, so I doubled the sheet and slept in my clothes so I didn’t have to use the bedspread. Thankfully I only stayed the one night.
