Salerno is a great base and a lot cheaper than the resorts of Capri, Positano or Amalfi however it provides access to all through ferries and trains. It also makes it easy to go to Pompeii. The hotel is near the train station and a 5 min walk to the sea and ferries. Its clean and efficient however I found...

I stayed here for 1 nite only. The room was clean and comfy, being a single female traveller, felt safe and comfortable walking around. the big plus is the train station 5 min. walk and also computer free to use.

My sister and I were looking for somewhere close to Salerno Station and you can't beat the location of this hotel, right across the street! Our room was clean, free inroom safe, nice breakfast selection. We travelled to Amalfi by bus everymorning from the bus station but if you're more of a boat person the terminal for Amalfi and Positano...

This hotel is in an ideal location for day trips to Positano, Amalfi, Ravello etc. Trips can be done by either boat or bus. I did both which was very worthwhile. Hotel Plaza is opposite the train station but free from noise. It is also on the main shopping/restaurant mall. Rooms are roomy & clean. Hotel staff were courteous and...

This is an older hotel, but they aparently keep renovating it. Our room faced the ped-mall and was quiet. Everything was clean and staff was friendy. Breakfast is Italian, so don't expect too much (I liked the pastry, though). There is a parking garage about 80 yards away where they charged us 14€ for one night.

We stayed in this hotel for three nights. The hotel is across from the railway/bus station and a short 5 minute walk to the ferry pier to the Amalfi coast. The rooms were clean and reasonably large compared to others with a king sized bed. Whilst others have noted the noise from the station we didn't find it an issue,...

I arrived on 19th April for 4 nights. The hotel is opposite the train station and many buses also depart from the piazza. The hotel reception is efficient. I was allocated a front room, but had little sleep the 1st night due to external noise from buses and trains but also from noise within the building. The following morning I...

The Plaza Hotel is located directly across the street from the train station, and although an older building, the hotel has been recently renovated and is in excellent condition. The room was large by European standards, with a king size bed and decent sized bath with shower. Our room was on the inner courtyard and thus very quiet, the bed...
