After many trips to Italy this was our first venture south of Rome. We were pleasantly surprised by the friendly ambience and character of central Salerno. The B&B is located steps from the sea an easy walk from the train station, also a central point to explore the Amalfi coast, Naples and the archaeological sites. Francesco and his family are...

There aren't adequate words to describe what a fabulous experience we had in this charming B&B. We originally thought of basing ourselves in Positano or Sorrento, but in researching the best place to stay on the Amalfi Coast, we came across a glowing article recommending Salerno and Francesco's B&B. I am so happy we changed our plans and were lucky...

My husband and I stayed at Salerno Centro Bed and Breakfast for six wonderful nights last week and found ourselves pampered and taken care of like family. First, our host, Francesco, and his Dad, Pasquale, picked us up at the train station and drove us back when we left, so important when traveling to a new place and with luggage...

It is always hard to leave a vacation, but what was hard this time was to leave this family. There is no way to describe how wonderful our stay here was. Immediately when Francesco picked us up from the airport we felt at ease. His sense of humor and charming manner make us feel like we had already been friends....

A friend of mine and me stayed at this B&B for over a week. It was the best choice I could have possibly made. Francesco and his parents really went above and beyond to make sure we are comfortable and having a great time. I don't even know where to start. The room was comfortable, clean and individually decorated, so...

Francesco and his family are by far one of the most welcoming families I have ever met. Breakfast each morning was delectable! Francesco also drove us around to different places and is very knowledgeable, kind and caring. The entire family wants to ensure that your stay with them is more than you could imagine it could be. If you cannot...

What a great B&B! Francesco was helpful from start to finish. He responded promptly when I inquired about the booking and provided plenty of attractions information. I stayed at the Amalfi room; newly renovated, very spacious with great ceiling height. I particularly appreciated the warmth welcome from Francesco, his mother and father.

Such great value. Salerno Centro B&B is a family run small B&B in what used to be a convent. Francesco and his parents Lina and Pascuale run it with great attention to detail and a generous spirit of hospitality. They made great recommendations of things to do and places to eat. You can't go wrong staying here.

We enjoyed our short stay at this B & B. Francesco was great. He helped us find the location and took us to the train station as well. We took a cooking class with Francesco's Mom. It was very fun. His dad joined us for dinner and was very funny. Breakfast was excellent too. Location is convenient as well -...

I don't think I'll be able to say enough good things about Francesco and his family. From the second I booked the B&B I felt like I was going to be staying with my own family. Once we arrived in Salerno Francesco offered my husband and I a free ride from the train station. We were greeted by his mother...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Salerno Centro" Bed and Breakfast is housed in a former convent of 15th century. We are located in the main square of salerno, about 800 meters from Salerno train station: a simple and pleasant 10-minute walk along the pedestrianized Corso vittorio emanuele, the most important shopping area of Salerno. You can choose between three very comfortable rooms with private or en-suite bathroom with free wi-fi connection and air conditioning. The free wi-fi connection is also provided in the wide common spaces. A limited made-to-order breakfast is served on a beautiful terrace which you relax yourself after the trips around Salerno. The intercity buses and the ferries to Amalfi, Positano and Capri are all 10 minutes away. There are many cafes, bars, restaurants and shops in the immediate vicinity, and the local bus lines are just a few steps away. Salerno deserves a full day or more just by itself, and can be used as a citybase for daytrips to the Amalfi coast, Cilento coast, Capri, Paestum, the Royal Palace of Caserta, Pompei, Ercolanum and Naples itself."Salerno centro" will be your home away from home. ... more   less
