This place is very nicely located at the entrance of the square, yet also on the main street where the bus stops are. Usually when I travel to different countries the public trans is out of the questions, but it is very easy to do here in amalfi and by far the cheapest and faste

Perfect location, amazing restaurant, incredible staff. I wouldn't stay anywhere else. We ended up eating in the restaurant for both nights of our stay because it was so good. The location is walking distance to everything in Amalfi, with the bus stop to see the surrounding villa

Beautiful room with an incredible view and balcony. Many nice touches including the decorative linens, and detail in service, such as asking if our needs were met shortly after check in; a genuine welcome each time we returned, and even having the bed prepped when we returned fro

We were in the pink and turquoise room which may potentially have been a cute and secret upgrade for our honeymoon or I got a good deal because it was HUGE and much more than what we were expecting. Two balconies, a jacuzzi bath and an enormous bed.

I loved the high ceilings he

We were fortunate to get a room when an apartment we had booked was found to be too far out of town to be convenient. The Residence being at the heart of the town, overlooking the beach & backing onto the Cathedral was everything we wanted!

How close are the beaches and what is the sand/ocean floor like at these beaches? I ask because both Capri and Positano have very pebbly beaches and the ocean floor is like walking on small boulders...Not very enjoyable. Thanks!
Beach is directly across the street and is part sand but pebbles closer to and in water, like Positano.

Do the rooms have air condition? I will be visiting in July.
Yes, good A/C.

Can you tell me the transfer time from naples airport to hotel
About an hour plus depending on traffic. If going to Ravello or Amalfi go in over the top from the back.

Could you please tell me if the rooms have a hairdryer or iron? Thanks
They definitely have hairdryers, I looked back at my pics and could not see an iron however they have a great towel warmer that I used to straighten out some clothes as well as drying items I washed. Hope that helps.

Hi. We will be in Amalfi in mid-July. We would love to to a boat tour of Capri with some snorkeling, but many seem to leave from Sorrento of Positano at an early time. I feel that we would risk missing the tour if we need to take a ferry. Are there any boat tours offered where pick up is close to Hotel Residence? If so, is it okay to wait until we get there to book? Any recommendations are appreciated.
Capri is closer to Sorrento/Naples. Have you thought about staying a night in Capri? This way you would not be rushed to get back to the hotel. Check out Viator .That might be a place to start. Buses are directly outside of the hotel, the port for ferries is very nearby as well. We checked the ferry schedule when we arrived in Amalfi Town for ferries to Positano. You can also go to Ciao Amalfi and click travel for more information. I'm afraid you would spend more time trying to get there and back and would not enjoy your time in Capri. I would not buy tickets in advance for ferries however for a special tour that includes snorkeling you might want to buy in advance. I think you would get a better price for what you want while in Capri if you stayed a night there. Hope that helps some. May your journey be a pleasant one.
