My grown children and I went backpacking through France and Italy, we made no plans ahead, Arriving at night in Amalfi, the Amalfi hotel welcomed us in, but, they only had one night. It was during the Feast of Saint Andres. The next morning they arranged for us to stay in a lovely apartment which I think belonged to the family....

The hotel is centrally located, which was great. However our room (2nd floor - rather dated) overlooked a narrow alleyway, and we could hear everything from the street and from down the hallway starting very early in the morning. After three nights' terrible sleep, we were completely exhausted. A shame, as the rooftop terrace and garden were lovely and breakfast...

We arrived after a long journey very tired our transfer taxi driver phoned ahead and the manager of the hotel came down through Amalfi town to meet us and take our suitcases up through the town to our hotel something I was very grateful for as I had an arm injury. We have just returned from a 2 week stay at Hotel Amalfi. It is a lovely, family run hotel just off the main street .The room was a good size and comfortable with a bathroom with a shower, it was cleaned on a daily basis. The breakfast was very good with lots of choice, cereals, lovely fresh bread, ham, cheeses,...

This family owned and operated quaint hotel was perfect for our three day stay in the heart of Amalfi. Definitely arrange to have your luggage taken up the stairs of this hotel by calling upon your arrival because cars can't get right to the entrance. We had a small balcony over looking an outdoor cafe. Breakfast included in the room...

Just come back from a stay at the Amalfi Hotel, the hotel was very nice and quaint, clean rooms and very helpful staff, but beware the stairs to and from the hotel these are quite steep but shouldn't put anyone off staying here well worth the effort.

We stopped here overnight as part of a cycling holiday. The room was booked on our behalf. The hotel is halfway into the town centre, up a pedestrianised area near the duomo. To access the hotel you have to climb 20-odd stairs. Although there is a car park at ground level, at certain times of the year you're unable to...

Be careful when you enter the lift. There is only one small sensor located near the floor to stop the lift door opening and it is possible not to cover the sensor. My wives ended up with a large bang to her head. The hotel staffs response was terrible. They were more interested in proving that the lift worked correctly...
