We stayed here for one night as part of Zagori hiking holiday. The hotel is well situated at the top of the village. It reminded us of a traditional alpine hotel: dark wood and fireplaces in the bedrooms. The facilities are basic but comfortable. It's family run. We decided to eat there in the evening. We were the only guests doing so and we had a basis , but very good meal amongst the wider family. The breakfast was fine. We weren't too sure about it to begin with but ended up enjoying our stay.

Due to pandemic few guests. Tom was satisfactory with adequate bathroom. Good breakfast provided especially due to circumstances . Pool was available for use and there was a nice terrace. Almost a "4' but not quite.

Traditional picturesque guesthouse.. worth visiting! !!
We visited zagorochoria in late September for weekend getaway. It was the 1st time and we were lost on the way to find the guesthouse... the owner was half hour on the phone at 11:00 at night helping us and giving instructions.. .waiting for us as if we were friends.. .. I have no words of explaining the hospitality! !! The rooms were very warm when we arrived and stocked with free wood for the fireplace. The surrounding scenery was stunning and the guesthouse absolutely traditional as if an old house eith the local architecture. The breakfast was great with local products.. ..although it would be wise to go early if you want to taste everything!

Positive: breakfast wonderful, location close to hikes, balcony in room excellent view.

Negatives: no heat in Oct (temps at night 6-7 degrees celsius) when complained got 2 hours heat in evening which heated room well until about 4-5AM.
Shower horrendous, doors broken, mildew/mold.
Some lightbulbs in room flicker even when off, had to unscrew them. Staying there with another friend and only 1 key available so annoying when going out separately.
Wifi spotty.

Where to start! I booked this hotel through booking dot com because it showed that it was reduced from €350 to €50 for a superior room. Well that was a joke. The room rate was actually shown as €100 in peak season. ( booking dot com are looking into this!)
The welcome was one of surprise as they didn't seem to be expecting us, although they eventually found a piece of paper. Our superior room had 2 small double beds in, with their sides against the wall, although we requested and paid for a large double. We had to make up the second bed ourselves. We had prepaid for dinner so we chose the advertised chicken pie. It was truly awful and had probably been made a long time before.
Because the beds were so small we had one each, only for one to collapse in the middle of the night. The electrics were dodgy because one light kept flickering all night even though we had turned it off, then water started running in the bathroom at 5:45am. We had no sleep so weren't at all ready for a 6 hr drive home. The luxury massaging shower didn't work, unsurprisingly.
Breakfast was a shambles. We asked for tea but were totally ignored. We eventually found our own cups, even though the owners were just sat down doing nothing, and had to put the kettle on( when I found it) and make it. There were only 4 guests there but the owners did absolutely nothing to help. I was looking forward to the yogurt but could only have one mouthful, it had been there a long time and was 'fizzing'! I love Greece and have visited many hotels of different standards but none so bad as this.
We never found the gym, the jacuzzi or any other advertised facilities that attracted us to this hotel.
Be warned!

First of all, I have booked this hotel via booking.com as it showed that I could benefit from an 86% (!!!) discount. We paid 90 euros for a triple and 60 euros for a double room. The price list in the hotel indicated 100 euros (high season). So, no real discount!
The place is totally abandoned and very dirty. The breakfast was included in the price. Might have had a big variety, but nothing fresh or the homemade things you expect to find in these kind of places. (I am greek and have travelled all over Greece, I know what homemade bread, pie and jam is!!). The restaurant was not clean either, we avoided having breakfast, even though it was paid for!
The rooms were very dirty and noisy. The wifi in my room was not working. Loud music coming from the restaurant 2 out of 3 nights we stayed there.
It has been really disappointing...

Advantages: Cheep, clean, with many hotel facilities (games, movies etc). Moreover, Monodendri is in a good location to start your excursions
Disadvantage: Breakfast was poor. Moreover it was a little bit cold.

Stayed two nights while hiking in the Pindos. The rooms are pretty and the location is certainly nice enough. We like that at least some of the rooms have outside space with a table and chairs. Downsides: 1) In June the heat was turned off, temp was probably about 15 degrees in the room. 2) Breakfast really wasn't worth mentioning, skipped it one morning. 3) Owner wasn't too friendly.
