Our family of 6 were en route from Cordoba to the Languedoc and Valencia seemed a good overnight half-way stop. We'd chosen a good value recommendation from The Rough Guide, called the hotel and spoke to Sonia, who told us the rate and immediately offered...More
We had a perfect stay here (planned to stay one night, ended up staying 3!) very friendly staff, wonderful building, great location, free internet, vending machine and coffee machine in the reception, wifi internet, lift, great rooms, small balconies overlooking the pedestrianized (though still rather...More
I was a bit disappointed after reading all the great reviews. I thought our room was cramped and dark; it had a window onto a smelly courtyard so we couldn't open it. There are no hotel services, I guess that's why it is a Hostal;...More
I have just returned from spending a week in Valencia. This is an excellent budget option in a city that should be on every traveller's

No. The room (at least the one I was in) was basically all bed. It's a great cute little spot to use as home base to sleep but it's not a room you're going to hang out in. If you wanted to relax in the hostal though the lobby has couches and snacks and drinks and would be comfortable. The hosts are so sweet you'd have no issue treating the lobby like a living room.
