The hotel is on a very busy road but any where you want to go is easy to get to. The hotel is actually on the 6th floor but there are lifts. The staff are all friendly and the rooms are clean if on the small side. The room was cleaned every day. The noise at night from the traffic...

Location is very good .. near to Premark .. and staff was really very helpful .. the room size was moderate and clean ... There are many places to visit just walking from the hotel ... Would go there again ...

I think I would stay here again, if the price was right. I received this placement through a Priceline deal, and I wasn't altogether unhappy or happy. My disabled father and I booked two rooms. Our taxi found the hotel with ease, but getting to the front entrance of the hotel took some work each time we returned. The Grand...

Good location rooms need a little more update but overall good. Not an 24 hours hostel. Could use some renovations.

If I go back to Madrid I would stay here again. Its a mix between a hostel and a hotel. Its on the 6th floor but there are three elevators. At night a security guard will walk you up, you need to be sure to have your key and a slip of paper saying your a guest. The walls or...

The hostal was simple, clean and staff members friendly; the location (on Gran Via) perfect. Nearby all shopping, subways, restaurants and historical sites. The room and bathroom was small, but clean, and the price is great for the location.

Booked the hotel directly. Pleasant to deal with via email however thats where it ended. The require you to pay on checking in. I assume this would be because people have left during their booking. Rooms are incredibly small and I have stayed in some small hotels. Rooms have double glazing (internal and external window and blackout shutters in beween...

Staying in Centro

Neighbourhood Profile
Expansive plazas, local and foreign crowds, street performers, colorful lights, window shopping, restaurant signs promising the best paella, ham, and churros con chocolate- this is downtown Madrid, a collection of plazas interconnected by a network of side streets. Some of these side streets are wide pedestrian shopping routes, and some are hidden, so it's possible to duck in and out of the bustle as desired. The iconic Puerta del Sol is the giant crossroads of the city and a must-see attraction at any time of the day. The nearby Plaza Mayor, completely enclosed by historic red buildings, is an ideal place to grab a bite to eat outside, amidst scores of tables and people out for a stroll. Plaza Isabel II (also known as “Opera”) is smaller and a good meeting spot, and the stately Plaza del Oriente is the front yard of the Royal Palace. Centro can be touristy (pickpockets are unfortuately not unheard-of here), crowded, and sometimes gimmicky, but it is also the place to experience classic Madrid.
