Finding it was the hardest thing (but I'm a thick). If you are like me. It's the top floor of the building you are stood in front of. Lovely location, easy check in and beautiful room for a very fair price. You won't be in this room a great deal of time as left of the building (facing) is the...

Room is big enough for the price you pay. Friendly staff and clean rooms with on suite bathroom, and a mini fridge. Placed in the centre of Madrid (Gran Via), 1 minute walk from Callao underground station.

I stayed here with my boyfriend for a long weekend in February. Found the hotel really easy to find, I would definitely recommend getting the Airport Bus. As soon as you get to the Gran Via Metro its really easy to navigate yourself, the location is incredible. When you are outside don't let the appearance put you off, its actually...

The location is amazing! Just few min walk from the center of Madrid, Sol. Also easy access to those "must go" places in Madrid! The rooms are small but good enough since you don't really stay inside the hotels when you are in Madrid. You have so many things to do outside! Only reason I didn't put 5 stars is...

We spent 3 nights at Hostal Main Street, and we had a good time. As my title suggests, the location is superb, just a few metres from the exit of Callao. Room was basic but adequate and clean, and the staff were extremely helpful. in addition to helping us with our dinner reservation at La Cabra, they presented us with...

We had the twin bedded room at the back of the hostal, so it was quiet as well as being large and well appointed. It is so well located, right in the middle of everything, and we could walk to so many places, when we didn't get lost! Got great restaurant recommendations from Antonella (she is a treasure!). Would definitely...

Staying in Malasana

Neighbourhood Profile
Malasana
Hip bars and galleries, independent theaters and music venues, young people with tattoos and funky hair, narrow winding streets — this is Malasaña. Near the center, Plaza Dos de Mayo is a gathering of friends outside bars, dog owners, artists under craft tents, and creative types with notebooks and sketchpads on the plaza’s benches. It may not be as neat and tidy as many other parts of the city, but this only adds to the Malasaña edge. Shops and bars here range from hippie-crunchy to upscale trendy, and on weekends, the streets are bustling around the clock as the nightlife progresses from dinner to bar to disco to late-night food. On the west side of the neighbourhood is the subdistrict called Conde Duque, named after a large pink fort in its center that has been converted into a cultural center for exhibitions and performances. Prettier yet just as edgy, this intimate corner of Malasaña is home to a young international community.
