This is a classic budding with modern updates, Our family was just overnighting in Madrid. Very easy access to museums, the cathedral & palace. Lots of public transportation nearby. And then easy access to bus and train stations for departure. Lavish breakfast. (If not included in your room price, ask about discount for reserving breakfast night before. Unfortunately our check-in...

Nice boutique hotel in quiet area. Close to museums and Neptuno fountain (stop for hop-on hop-off bus and our day trip to Toledo). Easy walk or cab to train station. Easy walk to busier parts of town. Very close to the big and beautiful Parque El Retiro. Very friendly multi-lingual staff. Now if they would only show this dumb American...

It was a great experience staying in this boutique hotel. The staff was truly hospitable and willing to go the extra mile. Rooms were perfectly sized for our family of five. Private balcony was a treat.

My family (3 people) stayed here for six nights (before and after our trip to Seville) and we loved this place. Right next to Prado. Great breakfast buffet with eggs cooked to your order. Quiet and safe neighborhood. Walk to Retiro Park, Prado, Thyssen, Reina Sofia, and Atocha station. It doesn't have air conditioning, but we didn't need it. We...

The room was close to the subway and had very easy access. The room was smaller and certainly cozy which was fine for me and my wife. Good breakfast in the morning that I enjoyed everyday. This is an excellent hotel providing good value for money accommodation in a perfect situation for the museums, El Retiro park and shops and night life of the city. Staying in Paseo del Prado

Neighbourhood Profile
Paseo del Prado
The area around the elegant Paseo del Prado boulevard is much-visited by both locals and tourists. The world-famous Prado, the Reina Sofia, and the Thyssen-Bornemisza museums form a triangle of art and culture that spans this grand and beautiful avenue. On weekdays, the Prado Museum opens its doors for free after-work hours, drawing a diverse and excited queue of art lovers that wraps around the block. Palacio de Cibeles and Círculo de Bellas Artes cultural centers are other artsy hangouts to check out, with rooftop bars that provide impressive views of the city. While the Paseo del Prado and its roundabouts form a busy throughway in Madrid, a broad green pedestrian park in the middle is a calm and gorgeous place for a relaxing stroll. Just east of the museums, the Retiro Park is always a confluence of activity as families and friends of all ages take to the pretty paths and lawns to stretch their legs or to have a picnic.
