the wifi here is terrible. i chose this hotel over others largely because of good wifi reviews, but was disappointed. the signal was full-strength but the data connection itself is very slow & times out a lot. forget about loading more than one page at a time, too. if you need to do any amount of internet-work, prepare to be...

The bathroom did not have a door, like 12 TV stations, and the room had no exterior windows, thus no light other than the florescent bulb. This hotel has a very great location but other than that, not much to offer and other than wifi no real amenities whatsoever. And the rates were not that good either, not for what...

It was my first stay at the hotel and I met with really nice staff. The hotel has a fantastic location and is a good value for the money. I must say they provide an excellent internet connection! I am certain I shall return to this hotel again next time I visit MADRID

A fantastically located hotel , next to Gran Via Metro and easy to find. The rooms are very very small , everything is crammed into a small space and the bathroom has a glass wall, so if you like privacy then dont stay here. The beds where ok and rooms cleaned quite late so you get a chance to have...

Stayed 2 nights last week, friendly reception and service. When I required a plate with fork and knife, they immediately provided to my room. The room itself has some quirky (not so good) features: 1) very small, can't sit at desk without bumping back of chair to bed, 2) bathroom door opens and blocks easy access into the bathroom itself...

Stayed here 5 days, room 206. Staff was great!! hotel rooms small but good for two people max. This is the way to experiance Spain in the middle of everthing, people start partying at 2 am dont stop til 6 am be prepared. very convenient close to all sorts of shops and food, go to the drunken duck bar down...

This hotel is in the beautiful downtown Madrid city. Close distance to Shopping, Restaurants, and Metro station. Very Convenient. Since it was downtown it was also very noisy with ambulances all night. The hotel itself was nice and clean but had a mildew odor. Their was a very nice breakfast downstairs that we thought was included in the price but...

My partner & I have just returned from weekend in this hotel where the staff were friendly but the room was less than average & small with no ventilation in the bathroom giving the room a damp smell. Cleaning of the rooms was average & I would say this hotel is in need of something of a makeover to bring...

Staying in Chueca

Neighbourhood Profile
Chueca is the hip, gay neighbourhood of Madrid where many of the streets are narrow and intimate, but where the hustle and bustle and the eclectic storefronts and people give it a distinctly urban feel. The main thoroughfare is Calle Hortaleza and the main square is Plaza Chueca, completely filled with terraza tables serving copas (mixed drinks) during summer. A mixture of trendy and grungy, some of the adult businesses here are explicitly racy in their signage. From the rainbow flags to the signs above the entrances of its many funky bars, to the date spot restaurants, Chueca is a vibrant and colorful place. It's always interesting to explore the different corners of Chueca by day, and by night, the area becomes a major nightlife destination when the clubs open their doors.
