On balance, we are not enthused but there is no reason why others should not have a better experience. First the strengths of the Hotel Mora.
Its location on the Paseo del Prado puts it in easy walking distance of the Atocha Train Station, the...More
Excellent location. Close to park, botanical garden, Prado museum. Not too far from the subway. Nice small clean room, smaller bathroom. Balcony overlooking Paseo del Prado. Nice breakfast restaurant on the premises.
The staff was friendly, the rooms were clean. Communications before the trip was good. The hotel is a few minutes from the Prado and the Atocha railway station. Most of Madrid's attractions are in walking distance (10-30 minutes).
I only stayed one night, so the very small single room was bearable. The bathroom was tiny, however, the shower was good and hot. The room was clean and comfortable. The hotel is placed just west of El retiro Park and the Botanical Gardens and...More
Stayed at this hotel as it is a ten minute walk from Atocha train station. Rooms are adequately furnished, we had a twin room but the beds were pushed together, good wardrobe space with safe (maybe take a few extra hangers), bathroom with powerful shower...More
The area around the elegant Paseo del Prado boulevard is much-visited by both locals and tourists. The world-famous Prado, the Reina Sofia, and the Thyssen-Bornemisza museums form a triangle of art and culture that spans this grand and beautiful avenue. On weekdays, the Prado Museum opens its doors for free after-work hours, drawing a diverse and excited queue of art lovers that wraps around the block. Palacio de
Cibeles and Círculo de Bellas Artes cultural centers are other artsy hangouts to check out, with rooftop bars that provide impressive views of the city. While the Paseo del Prado and its roundabouts form a busy throughway in Madrid, a broad green pedestrian park in the middle is a calm and gorgeous place for a relaxing stroll. Just east of the museums, the Retiro Park is always a confluence of activity as families and friends of all ages take to the pretty paths and lawns to stretch their legs or to have a picnic.

Yes, lfedolapo... is correct. The elevator is small - you might want to contact the hotel if that member of your party is in a wheelchair and make sure a wheelchair would work. It's not as small as one I stayed in in Paris where the host took my luggage up and then came back down and took me up! Enjoy Madrid..
