The standard rooms are clean but very very tiny indeed (do prefer the two-bed option to get a little bit more space or pay a little more for an upgrade) but pleasant and functional (once you get used to the so limited space around). The same principle of being tiny applies for the bathroom; it's maintenance was quite poor for...

This hotel is charming in every way, delightful staff, quiet, comfortable, clean, well maintained, and we were happy to be there. The room rate was the lowest we experienced in Spain and we could not figure out why. We loved our spacious room and were delighted to have found it. The decor is interesting and well done. Watch for signs...

This was our second stay at Villa de la Reina Boutique Hotel. Located right in the heart of Grand Via, just about 1 1/2 miles from the Prado, Thyssen, and the MAN. It is the perfect location for enjoying the charm of Madrid. Our reservation included breakfast- a delightful array of eggs, cheeses, meats, pastries, fruit, juices, and breads. The...

This hotel is located perfectly to see the wonderful sights of the city of Madrid, situated as it is at the bottom section of Gran Via. It has been beautifully renovated with a welcoming bar area to relax, enjoy the perfect sangria and rest your weary feet after all that sightseeing. Our room which was an inner courtyard one, was...

My friend and I stayed here for six nights. We both would highly recommend a stay here. The location is great and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Our room was on the third floor and faced the street but was very quiet. We even had a small balcony. We would definitely stay here again.

We stayed here for 2 nights. Despite the location on a busy street, we had a room that was completely quiet. The service in the hotel was very friendly. Breakfast was included in our stay and the selection of food was fine. There were different things to satisfy anyone. The quality of the food was also fine, it was fresh...

We had a wonderful room, the hotel was in the perfect location. The staff was great, they recommended a couple of places for dinner & they were excellent. Staying in Chueca

Neighbourhood Profile
Chueca
Chueca is the hip, gay neighbourhood of Madrid where many of the streets are narrow and intimate, but where the hustle and bustle and the eclectic storefronts and people give it a distinctly urban feel. The main thoroughfare is Calle Hortaleza and the main square is Plaza Chueca, completely filled with terraza tables serving copas (mixed drinks) during summer. A mixture of trendy and grungy, some of the adult businesses here are explicitly racy in their signage. From the rainbow flags to the signs above the entrances of its many funky bars, to the date spot restaurants, Chueca is a vibrant and colorful place. It's always interesting to explore the different corners of Chueca by day, and by night, the area becomes a major nightlife destination when the clubs open their doors.
