The hotel location is definitely what I was looking for - walking distance to shops, restaurants and must-see locations in Madrid. The facilities are well kept and the room is neat and tidy. The bathroom is so much bigger than most hotels we've stayed at in Europe.

Along Gran Via, walking to all shops. Rooms great, clean and comfortable. Double rooms with balcony is a good size. Walking to Puerta Del Sol, where there is more shops and restaurants. Taxi, bus and Hop On/Off are accessible anytime. Hotel staff helpful. Would stay again and recommend to anyone who will visit Madrid.

Great location! We were upgraded to an exterior room which was very nice of Maria Jesus at the reception desk. The room was very clean and well appointed. Despite being on the very busy street it was a very quiet room. Albeit very small, the room was manageable in size. The hotel lobby is lovely with plenty of comfortable seating...

This hotel is extremely well located on Gran Via, easy walking to many destinations in the city. Our room was actually a suite with very high ceilings and a balcony and a large terrace. It faced the street but was still quiet. Bed is very comfortable. Towels are abundant and plush. Separate tub and shower within a large glass enclosure....

We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights. The room was small but the bathroom large. The closet lacked space but we were able to use the huge shelf under the very long counter in the bath to place our folded clothes. We had zippered packing cubes which worked perfectly. The best part of this hotel was the location on...

Staying in Chueca

Neighbourhood Profile
Chueca
Chueca is the hip, gay neighbourhood of Madrid where many of the streets are narrow and intimate, but where the hustle and bustle and the eclectic storefronts and people give it a distinctly urban feel. The main thoroughfare is Calle Hortaleza and the main square is Plaza Chueca, completely filled with terraza tables serving copas (mixed drinks) during summer. A mixture of trendy and grungy, some of the adult businesses here are explicitly racy in their signage. From the rainbow flags to the signs above the entrances of its many funky bars, to the date spot restaurants, Chueca is a vibrant and colorful place. It's always interesting to explore the different corners of Chueca by day, and by night, the area becomes a major nightlife destination when the clubs open their doors.
