We stayed for 4 nights and found this hotel within walking distance to Palicio Real and the lovely park there- also near restaurants. Opera stop helped and we soon discovered menu de dia restaurants near to there, walking towards Palace. There was also nearby Rastro Market on Sundays, stallholders at the front were friendliest. Metro is almost beside the hotel....

We booked hotel for 4 nights with Avios (air miles) so cannot comment on value. Small but comfortable and modern room on 6th floor overlooking square. Excellent heating. Shower room good. Lobby on ground floor very bright and airy. Breakfast buffet on lower ground floor excellent with a great range of food. Reception staff very helpful. Perfect location with easy...

Hard to find fault with the hotel maybe tea and coffee making facilities on the room but in the grand scheme of things it was great, really decent breakfast included in the price, big room, fridge and free safe and quiet rooms.

This hotel is alright for basic accommodation and for a low price however few things that were really really disappointing and need to keep in mind: 1. The bed is really really hard. I'm talking the hardest bed I have slept on ever. I think those mattresses have not been changed in over 20 years. 2. The walls are paper...

We originally booked this hotel for two nights arriving Friday evening, having previously stayed here last time I visited Madrid in 2002. Upon checking in it became apparent very quickly that we had been victims of a pick pocket on the metro from the airport and we'd had our passports stolen. The gentleman who checked us in didn't really seem...

I stayed at Puerta de Toledo, it is very centrally located to most of the tourist sights and museums of Madrid, the hotel is clean and comfortable, and the staff very helpful and accommodating. One needs a good pair of walking shoes as Madrid is built on hills so some of the streets are very hilly. Madrid is a vibrant...

8 of us stayed here for 4 nights over the new year period. It was great, clean and good value for money. It was about a 10 minute walk to the main restaurants and town centre. There was a small bar downstairs with offers drinks and cake which was really good value. Overall satisfied with this hotel.

We really enjoyed our stay here. 1. STAFF - incredibly friendly and even provided us with a picnic take-away breakfast because we had to leave for our flight earlier than the breakfast hours would allow. (Sandwich, juice, chocolate milk, fruit, and a pastry.) 2. BREAKFAST - what a wonderful spread! Finding a good, substantial breakfast was challenging some mornings over...

We booked this city break hotel through a package deal with BA, and were very pleasantly surprised. It's clean and modern, offering a good breakfast and a small bar in the reception area. Our room was in the eaves on the top (7th) floor, with a literal rooftop view of the square and surrounding skyline, perfect for watching the many...

This hotel was a great base for the NYE festivities in Madrid. It was a 15/20 minute walk from the centre of the celebrations and easy to reach via the Metro from the Airport. Room was nicely decorated but a kettle would have been nice- free water on arrival was a nice touch and the shower was powerful and hot....
