I stay here just now. Good location near Gran Via and nice staff, but very noisy (thin walls and slamming doors) and poor breakfast (no eggs, no yoghurt) Not up to my expectations considering the price.

Despite booking 6 months prior the first thing that happened was reception tried to get us to move to a partner hotel saying they were overbooked. We declined and after 15 minutes discussing they allocated us rooms. The rooms were clean but mine had a strong odour of boiled cabbage or old socks. The only thing it had in its...

Disappointing to see the room did not look like the photos. Our room had one window facing the interior ventilation area, so no view and dark inside without lights. But maybe a blessing to avoid hearing street traffic below. Other than that, it was clean, and a good central location that allowed fine sight seeing within easy walking distance. A...

Excellent, clean, comfortable, central. Near Gran Via but away from the bustle. Were able to get to both Gran Via and Plaza de Espana easily, plus explore Malasana and Chueca. Great Chinese restaurant across the street.

The location is the biggest plus point about this hotel. Close to grand via it was a breeze to get yo main attractions and other activities. The check in process was smooth and had no trouble at all. The other thing that no other hotel offered while we traveled to europe was the the switch board with the 220 volt...

This is a decent hotel. It´s clean, decent sized rooms, nice bathrooms with a bath and shower, hairdryer, not nice views but well it´s the centre of Madrid! I was more than happy with the room. The breakfast buffet is ok, it´s obvious that they serve the cheapest croissants, ham, cheese that money can buy but it serves it´s purpose....

Lovely hotel to stay in. It is a fantastic location as is right next to both Santo Domingo and Noviciado Metro Stations, so going from there to Madrid and its surrounding areas is great. Furthermore you can walk to the Sol and other main plazas/ attractions very quickly from there also. As for the food we found the cafe next...

The hotel is in a fantastic location. Literally metres from the Gran Via, and a few minutes walk from Novicado metro stop. Opera, Sol and the palaces are within walking distance. The hop on/ off bus is also a few minutes walk away. The street itself is fairly quiet and we felt very safe walking around at night. Easy to...

Good location. Great beds. Large room. Clean. Good prices. Breakfast is ok too but you can find desayonos in the surrounding cafés for a better price. Only negative point is the absence of private parking (supposed to be full ...lol). Will come back.

Staying in Malasana

Neighbourhood Profile
Malasana
Hip bars and galleries, independent theaters and music venues, young people with tattoos and funky hair, narrow winding streets — this is Malasaña. Near the center, Plaza Dos de Mayo is a gathering of friends outside bars, dog owners, artists under craft tents, and creative types with notebooks and sketchpads on the plaza’s benches. It may not be as neat and tidy as many other parts of the city, but this only adds to the Malasaña edge. Shops and bars here range from hippie-crunchy to upscale trendy, and on weekends, the streets are bustling around the clock as the nightlife progresses from dinner to bar to disco to late-night food. On the west side of the neighbourhood is the subdistrict called Conde Duque, named after a large pink fort in its center that has been converted into a cultural center for exhibitions and performances. Prettier yet just as edgy, this intimate corner of Malasaña is home to a young international community.
