Early check-in. Super central place. Breakfast is very good. Bed are separate large and comfortable. Good early booking rate. Bathroom is overhaul. QUIETLY only with closed window. Good working A/C. Late check-out till 14:00 Clock.

I selected this hotel based on reviews. It had AC and free wi-fi, as well. However, the room was warm and we could not get the air to work. We were told it is either heat or air and since it had been cool out they were on heat. They suggested we open a window. The room was uncomfortable for...

The good: the hotel is close to EVERYTHING! The location cannot be beat. The bad: everything else. The rooms are very outdated and not at all like the photos in their marketing. The lobby and entryway are very elegant, but the rooms are straight out of 1965. They were clean, but old and awkward to use. The room layout seemed...

Brilliant, would love to visit again...............superb location, excellent value and great staff - Monica in particular was lovely in the bar area. The hotel has an interesting decor about the place, the bar and the rooms for example have a very old mahogany look to them, but it's all immaculate?!!! The hotel is very comfortable generally and well maintained, good...

Hotel is very accommodating. No issues with checking in. Had emailed prior for certain accommodations and no issues with the special request. Great location and easy to get to. Staff is always helpful and cooperative. Bar area is cozy.

I would stay here again. First let me list the things we did not like about the room. The bed was too hard for my tastes, and the wifi was only 1 mb/sec -- i.e. slow. Also, we arrived on March 31, one day before the A/C was turned on for the season. The first night our room was hot....

Good value hotel for the price we paid. Well located close to all the main sights, lots of shopping and places to eat. Good range for breakfast. Good sized rooms. Road could be noisy at night (we were at the front of the hotel) but the double glazing kept most of that out.

This hotel got it all: Very nice modern hotel Nice clean rooms Very nice and friendly staff Best location you will ever look for, in the heart of gran via next to everything from shopping, food, drinks, attractions, and transportations. The only thing I didn't like is the room was very warm being on the 7th floor with no AC....

My wife and I stayed here for four days in March and were very satisfied with the experience. The hotel was comfortable and the breakfasts were particularly good. It is right in the centre of Madrid and very convenient, but we would never have found it on our own. Thank goodness for the shuttle bus driver!

We have stayed at Hotel Liabeny twice and will be happy to come back again. It offers a perfect combination of premium location and ultimate comfort. At the same time the street is not at all noisy and you can sleep soundly through the night. Breakfast is delicious, I absolutely loved "chocolate con churros". The staff are exceedingly corteous and...

Staying in Centro

Neighbourhood Profile
Centro
Expansive plazas, local and foreign crowds, street performers, colorful lights, window shopping, restaurant signs promising the best paella, ham, and churros con chocolate- this is downtown Madrid, a collection of plazas interconnected by a network of side streets. Some of these side streets are wide pedestrian shopping routes, and some are hidden, so it's possible to duck in and out of the bustle as desired. The iconic Puerta del Sol is the giant crossroads of the city and a must-see attraction at any time of the day. The nearby Plaza Mayor, completely enclosed by historic red buildings, is an ideal place to grab a bite to eat outside, amidst scores of tables and people out for a stroll. Plaza Isabel II (also known as “Opera”) is smaller and a good meeting spot, and the stately Plaza del Oriente is the front yard of the Royal Palace. Centro can be touristy (pickpockets are unfortuately not unheard-of here), crowded, and sometimes gimmicky, but it is also the place to experience classic Madrid.
