LOCATION: Situated in the heart of Madrid, the central location provides easy access to many must-sees. The Prado is about 10 minutes walk away with the parks and Palacio de Cristal a little further on. The Palacio Real (Royal Palace) and gardens are less than 30 minutes walk through the city with architectural wonders at every turn. APARTMENT: There are...

Very good appart hotel location, in the center of Madrid, near Cibeles Palace and the Retiro. Breakfast is good, nice terrace with view on the Palace. Only bad thing is a very frustrating detail : I had to like their FB page to get access to free wifi, which I think is not very honest way to get FB likes...

This hotel in the central part of Madrid is a combination of a modern condominium type apartment and a boutique hotel. Front desk staff is available 24 hrs and are very helpful and speak excellent English. David especially went out of his way to accommodate our needs. The units are spacious enough, modern and clean, If you don' t mind...

I loved the location of this hotel. Very central. Front desk staff - Raymundo and another fellow whose name I have forgot - are both top notch. The rooms are very clean and recently remodeled. Downside: the walls were being painted in the hallway outside our room the whole time we were there. Our rooms smelled of paint the whole...

We recently stayed at the Luxury Suites for our initial and final evenings of a tour of southern Spain. The hotel came well recommended and we were happy with the choice. The rooms were spacious and came with kitchen facilities. The beds and sitting areas were comfortable and well maintained. Additionally, our room had nice wall coverings and hardwood floors....

Worst experience ever imaginable. Air conditioner did not work in our suite. The owner, Luis Garcia, personally assured us that it is working OK. He absolutely lied to us, as his assistant gave him away by saying he had known about the air conditioning problem before. We wanted to go to another hotel and requested the refund, but got nothing...

Fantastic small hotel in superb location to explore the sites of Madrid. Excellent room/suite over looking City Hall within walking distance of the city centre. Highly recommended and great value for money.

My wife and I had help with getting the Luxury Suites reserved as our final relaxing location after visiting five other hotels in four locations within Spain and second time staying in Madrid before flying out of the country. We had our son with us and this was the perfect location and relaxing stay. The Luxury Suites staff was excellent,...

No complaints with the Luxury Suites. Perfect location, close to many local cafes and eateries, metro lines, and walking distances to some of the best local attractions like the Museo del Prado. Highly recommend this place, spacious and clean and comfy. The staff were friendly and informative. I would stay here again, the next time I go back to Madrid.

While you may see some glowing reviews on this site, I would not recommend this hotel for several reasons. This is not a luxury hotel, this is a hotel that lacks customer service and understanding. This hotel has potential but fell short on numerous fronts. Previous reviews mention a free drink at bar and free items in fridge. This is...

Staying in Barrio de Salamanca

Neighbourhood Profile
Barrio de Salamanca
Broad, tree-lined avenues with pretty streetlights frame the neighbourhood of Barrio Salamanca. With beautiful condominium buildings that make up most blocks in this area, this part of town is refined and quiet. It is also host to a few of the city's large shopping avenues, including Calle Serrano and Calle Jose Ortega y Gasset. A walk down these streets will reveal upscale chains, small boutiques, and plenty of opportunities for shopping or checking out the stylish displays. The locals here are polished and fashionable, the atmosphere is leisurely, and the lush Retiro Park on the southern border is yet another opportunity to enjoy the outdoors. A stroll through Barrio Salamanca is all about admiring the beautiful architecture, window-shopping, and people-watching in this upper-crust corner of Madrid.
