I stayer there for a week in august 2016, Great position: close to metro station and 15 minutes from grand via, not a problem because Along the road there are so many cute shops. Concierges were kind and polite, housekeeping was fine, even though our room wasn't recently refurbished, instead bathroom was brand new and totally modern styled. Breakfast was... More

I only stayed there for 1 night. I never got a chance to experience the dining room or the rest of the hotel. The hotel was at a nice location, easily accessible to the major sites from the metro station 1 block away. Be aware about that the metro fro Atocha train station is not running due to construction. The... More

Placed a bit away from the city center. Rather quiet and very nice aria with some bars and an Irish Pub. Try the Jazz Club nearby very cosy. Friendly service at the hotel and very good in house breakfast only €10.

We stayed for three nights. The hotel is situated within walking distance of shops, restaurants and the Prado. There are long queues at the Prado so the Thysen Art Museum (nearby) is a better bet. The hotel is clean, has a relaxing atmosphere and staff are helpful. One small criticism was the cost of breakfast (extra) at €9.90 per person.... More

Had a great stay here. Good location with a metro station just around the corner and less than 10 minutes to the heart of the city. Really clean and spacious rooms and although the decor is very traditional it didn't look at all dated. Really good choice at breakfast and very friendly staff at reception. Well worth a visit.

We stayed here for a week for our first trip to Madrid. We would definitely come back. The hotel is so handy for the Metro and an easy transfer from the airport. The reception staff were very friendly, professional and helpful. The room was very well appointed and had a nice welcome bag of toiletries. The refrigerator worked extremely well,... More

Stayed in the hotel 2-6 September on sixth floor. This floor was classified as non smoking. Two lifts were available to all floors. There is a short ramp from street level. We had no problems during our stay and the room and bed were very comfortable. The air-con was certainly needed with outside temperatures in the high 30’s. The mini-bar... More

descent hotel about 500 metre from the centre. it is a very lovely walk to the centre as you pass the student neighbourhood full with shops coffees and restaurants. Nice clean rooms, a bit small to my taste, problem with space for the suitcases. service good no problems and staff speaks good english

Fantastic hotel all round, friendly staff, comfortable, very clean rooms and great breakfast. Value for money. 10 minute walk to centre and to tourist bus. Went out of their way to track our missing luggage. Highly recommend this hotel.

Staying in Chamberi

Neighbourhood Profile
Chamberi
Multi-story residential buildings decorated with ornate balconies line the traditional, quiet, and pretty streets of Chamberí. Humble storefronts and neighbourhood taverns are scattered across the lower levels down every block, and here and there, there's a cluster of tables on the sidewalk. It isn't ever crowded, but people are always out, poking into the tiny bakeries, hardware stores, and tobacco shops, or ducking into a bright, unadorned cerveceria to have a coffee or beer by the bar, flip through the paper, and check the sports score. The round Plaza Olavide, where the fairly regular network of streets breaks form, is among the most green and lively spots. Restaurants line its circumference and sought-after outdoor tables fill the center of the plaza, where people relax to the sounds of kids playing and street musicians' tunes.
