We are just back from a long weekend at the Carlton. Really enjoyed the city and the hotel. On the positive side the hotel is in a great location for getting around. Just on the southern edge of the city Atocha station is a couple of 100m away, so easy access to the Metro (which is fantastic). Three main galleries...

The staff here was helpful and friendly. The elevators are small, but to my surprise, the room was spacious and very nice. Make sure you get a room on an upper floor and away from the main street if you can. Traffic starts very early and the street is very busy. It is very close to the Prado and Renia...

We chose this hotel based on the reviews on this site and I am glad we did. The rooms look modern, spacious and are very clean. The area around the hotel seemed fine to me, and it is very close to public transportation. The staff is very courteous and professional. The one thing that impressed me the most: one day...

A very good hotel, spacious rooms, nice bathroom, and very accomodating staff! We found the location good, close to Madrid Vision bus tours, parks, shops, restaurants or coffee shops. We definitely would stay here again and recommend to others.

Although not in the best part of town the hotel is only a 10 to 15 minute walk to where it all happens. At 80€ a night it was excellent value for Madrid. The bedroom and en-suite bathroom were HUGE and very well appointed and the staff were very helpful. Can't comment on the breakfast as we had an early...

Room was spacious and clean - but 2 single beds put together to make a double was annoying. Was also allocated a smoking room in a lower floor despite requesting a non-smoking upper room. Would also expect tea/coffee maker in a 4-star hotel. On the plus side, the hotel had a very good location, especially for the art galleries. Enjoyed...

I stayed here at both the beginning and end of my last trip to Spain and wish I had known about this hotel for previous trips. Got a great night sleep every night in the peaceful, spotless room. Staff were friendly, helpful, and very professional. Most importantly to me, the location is ideal for walking to everything I want access...

As an avid reader of tripadvisor reviews before booking anywhere I was encouraged by the tone of the reviews I read. I was not disapointed by the Hotel though I would say that it was a superior 3 star rather than a 4 star. For a city that supposedly never sleeps the Hotel Bar, basically part of the restuarent, closed...

This hotel is located about 3 minutes from the Atocha train station, which is nice if you are using the train station often during your stay. It is also very close to the Atocha metro station and the Reina Sofia museum. We walked everywhere from this hotel. The staff was pleasant and spoke English. The rooms were very clean and...

The hotel is seems pretty basic for a 4-star hotel, but it is well-maintained and clean. The 'double' bed is actually two single beds pushed together. The TV is a small (old black-box style) and turns off by itself for no reason. The location of this hotel is best part - it is a 5 minute walk to the nearest...
