Very good located, the rooms are nice, clean and well equipped. Super receptionist, very helpful. Amazing breakfast, typical of the Nh family. The only thing I can complain is the fact that my room was exposed toward the street and it has been noisy all night. People screaming, laughing, cars and buses crossing.... Being there for work, I would like... More

Stayed 2 nights at this wonderfully located hotel, in the trendy Salamanca neighbourhood. The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. Rooms are modern, well appointed and the beds are quite comfortable. The noise isolation is quite good. Very clean bathroom. Wi fi a it slow and I had to use the computer at the lobby, which is operated... More

Really enjoyed staying here - everything was as it should be. Comfortable room, friendly staff, and we even got breakfast for free because they were renovating the building! Would always stay here when in Madrid.

if you have been to Madrid and want to stay in a more sophisticate quiet neighborhood, this is the best choice. small and tree lined quaint streets with high-end local restaurants, large selections of clothing boutiques from local brands to global luxury brands.

This small hotel, part of the chain of the NH name was ideally located in the Salamanca district. Walkable was Plaza Colon, a small Corte Ingles which had the Gourmet Experience section, Calle Serrano, Goya and Velasquez, major streets that had high end shops as well as the groceries such as Dia. Very nearby to the hotel was Mercado Dela... More

Conveniently located (not in Madrid's downtown) but close to good spots for nightlife and luxury shopping, NH Lagasca offered excellent service, buffet breakfast was included. Front-Desk service was very kind and attentive. Facilities are OK. Recommended for first time visitors (mostly). Taxi from airport is around 30EUR (little expensive) and Serrano subway station is just to blocks from here.

Staying in Barrio de Salamanca

Neighbourhood Profile
Barrio de Salamanca
Broad, tree-lined avenues with pretty streetlights frame the neighbourhood of Barrio Salamanca. With beautiful condominium buildings that make up most blocks in this area, this part of town is refined and quiet. It is also host to a few of the city's large shopping avenues, including Calle Serrano and Calle Jose Ortega y Gasset. A walk down these streets will reveal upscale chains, small boutiques, and plenty of opportunities for shopping or checking out the stylish displays. The locals here are polished and fashionable, the atmosphere is leisurely, and the lush Retiro Park on the southern border is yet another opportunity to enjoy the outdoors. A stroll through Barrio Salamanca is all about admiring the beautiful architecture, window-shopping, and people-watching in this upper-crust corner of Madrid.
