Staff very friendly and helpful. Rooms are quite small with ensuite bathroom , nice decorand free minibar. The location is perfect to go sightseeing the town. Average stay for pretty expensive prices.

i recommend this hotel, because is situated really in the centre of madrid, a few steps to everything( shops, monument, movida etc). i liked the little room, even if it is more concentrated. Good experience in this hotel. Only bad thing it is a sound of shower for little thick walls, and the only pillow.

Very central situated and good restaurants and bars nearside and reaching without public transportation. The rooms are clean, but a little bit dark inside. The stuff is very helpful and super friendly. 24 hours reception.

Great wee hotel in the centre of Madrid. Easy to find and a great location. Nice touch is the water and coke in the fridge. Close to some great eateries and very central to lots of sights, shops, restaurants, and pubs. Definitely recommend it. Big plus is booking a taxi bus to the airport. No changing stations on the metro...

Excellent location near to metro access and all the attractions. Great places to eat and drink only a stones throw away. Only 5 euro on metro from airport and metro is easy to navigate. Walking distance to prado , palace, sol and plaza mayor . Great stay

I would not recommend this hostel. The rooms are horrible, they are not cleaned everyday. The bed was broken and squeaky. The rooms are in a 3rd floor and there isn't a lift , which is not convenient if you have a pram and a 10 months baby

In average wasn't bad but I had 2 particular but relevant bad experiences 1. When I booked I asked for an early check in, they confirmed but when I did arrive I had to wait for a regular check in. 2. In my way out I asked for a taxi to the airport the night before of my departure, again...

Staying in Centro

Neighbourhood Profile
Centro
Expansive plazas, local and foreign crowds, street performers, colorful lights, window shopping, restaurant signs promising the best paella, ham, and churros con chocolate- this is downtown Madrid, a collection of plazas interconnected by a network of side streets. Some of these side streets are wide pedestrian shopping routes, and some are hidden, so it's possible to duck in and out of the bustle as desired. The iconic Puerta del Sol is the giant crossroads of the city and a must-see attraction at any time of the day. The nearby Plaza Mayor, completely enclosed by historic red buildings, is an ideal place to grab a bite to eat outside, amidst scores of tables and people out for a stroll. Plaza Isabel II (also known as “Opera”) is smaller and a good meeting spot, and the stately Plaza del Oriente is the front yard of the Royal Palace. Centro can be touristy (pickpockets are unfortuately not unheard-of here), crowded, and sometimes gimmicky, but it is also the place to experience classic Madrid.
