I stayed here for 2 nights with my daughter. The location is good being right off one of the main roads. The downside of this was the noise. The rooms are basic but good enough if you only need a place to sleep. The bed was comfortable but pillows sad and flat. The decor is dated but everything was neat...

This hotel is very closed to a metro station. Then I can walk to a lot of place for sight seen. Inside of the hotel is almost cleanness. That's why I feel comfortable to stay for 3days. The breakfast is not so bad, but I want salad. They have only sliced tomato.

I expected better stay specially when it comes to details. Reserving me a smoker's room although I am not, refusing to change my room for this reason, losing my i phone door opening clip after leaving it in my room and the very slow internet made my stay in Arosa hotel uncomfortable.

The hotel is conveniently located along the Gran Via shops and is pretty central to the city center. The building is fairly old and has its charm...however the lack of wifi connection was very frustrating.

I have stayed in the Hotel Arosa twice in the past three years and on both occasions for two nights on a weekend as a city break. For both trips I had booked a number of rooms for 8+ guests inc myself with the most recent stay last week . I can't recommend this hotel highly enough - location wise...

Booked a package for me and grandson to see Real Madrid and wanted a nice hotel, saw that this was a 4 star and online it looked very nice. Our room was 2 star at most and nothing at all like the online photos, I didn't want to make a fuss as wanted my grandson to enjoy the weekend, luckily...

Hotel is very central to all amenities which is what we required. Room was quite big and beds very comfortable. Lovely bathroom. Breakfast was adequate but not much choice. Staff were very friendly and most helpful. We were disappointed that there is no bar/lounge area, but I believe they are in the process of renovations to include this.

This hotel is in no way, shape or form a 4 star hotel The whole hotel is very worn and dated. Our room needed decorating urgently and there was grime deposits in the shower - not a good sign in my book.. Breakfast and coffee were fine.Location good. Don't be misled by the photos - we were.

Hotel is very good located at a small street off Gran Via. Our standard room was spacious enough, clean but very timeworn. Little damages in the room (e.g. holes in bed frame, small broken tiles) but that was not a big problem for us to be honest. Breakfast is wonderful and a good range for a spanish hotel. Staff at...

Staying in Centro

Neighbourhood Profile
Centro
Expansive plazas, local and foreign crowds, street performers, colorful lights, window shopping, restaurant signs promising the best paella, ham, and churros con chocolate- this is downtown Madrid, a collection of plazas interconnected by a network of side streets. Some of these side streets are wide pedestrian shopping routes, and some are hidden, so it's possible to duck in and out of the bustle as desired. The iconic Puerta del Sol is the giant crossroads of the city and a must-see attraction at any time of the day. The nearby Plaza Mayor, completely enclosed by historic red buildings, is an ideal place to grab a bite to eat outside, amidst scores of tables and people out for a stroll. Plaza Isabel II (also known as “Opera”) is smaller and a good meeting spot, and the stately Plaza del Oriente is the front yard of the Royal Palace. Centro can be touristy (pickpockets are unfortuately not unheard-of here), crowded, and sometimes gimmicky, but it is also the place to experience classic Madrid.
