Stayed in the Ritz in early April for one night prior to our departure from Spain. Free parking is available which is a very big bonus in view of the difficult and expensive parking in Madrid. When we arrived at the front door we asked about where should we park our car and we were immediately attended to. The concierge...

We spent a most enjoyable couple of hours in the grand reception lounge. We started with a cocktail, choosing the most exotic sounding ones. And very delectable they were. We followed that success with cappuccino and cake. The surrounds were delightful. We spent some time identifying as many as possible of the famous people whose photographs decorate the walls. The...

I was on business and used the hotel for meetings. The meeting room was absolutely beautiful and accommodated 25 people easily. The staff was outstanding. In addition the hotel was located in an area that was walking distance from so many areas. The hotel was elegant with someone playing the piano almost all of the time, an outside garden area...

Visited for a cocktail after a days sightseeing. It's 2 minutes away from Parque de Retiro and on the Paseo Del Prado. Cocktails were 18-22 Euros and pretty good. Food looked good, but we didn't try any. We sat outside on the terrace. Service was ok, we had to wait a while for the bill, but hey, we were on...

Location was exceptional. Work on exterior is appreciated, but as grand as the exterior and public spaces appear, the room accommodation is most important with guests. Until rooms are refreshed, I would be hesitant to recommend this hotel.

Dear Member of Trip Advisors, Thank you for your review which is unfortunate as it does not reflect the entire reality of our hotel. Staying in Paseo del Prado

Neighbourhood Profile
Paseo del Prado
The area around the elegant Paseo del Prado boulevard is much-visited by both locals and tourists. The world-famous Prado, the Reina Sofia, and the Thyssen-Bornemisza museums form a triangle of art and culture that spans this grand and beautiful avenue. On weekdays, the Prado Museum opens its doors for free after-work hours, drawing a diverse and excited queue of art lovers that wraps around the block. Palacio de Cibeles and Círculo de Bellas Artes cultural centers are other artsy hangouts to check out, with rooftop bars that provide impressive views of the city. While the Paseo del Prado and its roundabouts form a busy throughway in Madrid, a broad green pedestrian park in the middle is a calm and gorgeous place for a relaxing stroll. Just east of the museums, the Retiro Park is always a confluence of activity as families and friends of all ages take to the pretty paths and lawns to stretch their legs or to have a picnic.
