We stayed here for four nights and had a wonderful time. Arrival greeting was warm and friendly, check in quick and a complimentary glass of Moët in the glorious lounge whilst our room was being prepared. The pianist in the lounge is excellent and everything about the hotel is elegant stylish. Our bedroom was clean, good toiletries and we ignored...

Our 2nd stay at Ritz Madrid was absolutely heavenly. Returning guests are welcomed with recognition and style. I love the feeling of staying in a hotel where they make you feel special and pampered. At Ritz we certainly felt like royalties. We were well taken care of by each and everyone from the staff. There were lovely welcome surprises waiting...

The hotel is walking distance to almost all tourist sites, and is just right across from Museo Del Prado. Having breakfast on the balcony of my room and looking at the museum every morning, was a unique experience. And when you close the balcony window and curtains, there is no light... neither noise! The only thing I can think of...

The flawless service and gorgeous public spaces made up for rooms that were in need of a refresh. The One bedroom suite overlooked the square was beautiful, spacious and the bathroom was large with all the upscale Ritz amenities and lovely turndown service. The lively lobby lounge was buzzing with Champagne, Cava and Prosecco and lovely Armani, Chanel, and Loewe...

The Ritz is next to the Prado museum and is located centrally making it easy to visit important museums and the Palacio Reial. Very close to the Atocha railway station and a half hour's drive to the airport off peak hours. The Hotel was excellent and we loved dining at the Goya Restaurant. The staff and service were excellent. Ask...

I am quite a fan of old school hotels, and was quite excited about trying out the Ritz. For me, it just doesn't work as a top-end hotel. Too faded, too stuffy. It felt almost sad to see something with such a history and sense of its own importance, so visibly fraying at the seams. Start with the pluses: -...

The best staff anywhere. A few steps to the best museums and best restaurants. Great shopping at elegant Barrio Salamanca is a 10 minute stroll away. Old Madrid, best tapas at Mercado San Miguel and surroundings are within a 15 minute walk.

This hotel takes you back to what was the mid 20th century. The service was impeccable. This hotel is now owned by the Mandarin Group of hotels. Breakfast was very good. If you are in Madrid for business or just headed to the Prado and the Thyssen, you must stay at the Ritz. Staying in Paseo del Prado

Neighbourhood Profile
Paseo del Prado
The area around the elegant Paseo del Prado boulevard is much-visited by both locals and tourists. The world-famous Prado, the Reina Sofia, and the Thyssen-Bornemisza museums form a triangle of art and culture that spans this grand and beautiful avenue. On weekdays, the Prado Museum opens its doors for free after-work hours, drawing a diverse and excited queue of art lovers that wraps around the block. Palacio de Cibeles and Círculo de Bellas Artes cultural centers are other artsy hangouts to check out, with rooftop bars that provide impressive views of the city. While the Paseo del Prado and its roundabouts form a busy throughway in Madrid, a broad green pedestrian park in the middle is a calm and gorgeous place for a relaxing stroll. Just east of the museums, the Retiro Park is always a confluence of activity as families and friends of all ages take to the pretty paths and lawns to stretch their legs or to have a picnic.
