Surprised how good and well located this hotel is. We were on bed and and breakfast. Room a standard type room, kept very clean with comfortable beds, room 209 no views from windows, only onto narrow pedestrian road. Cannot comment on other rooms. Breakfast was continental type, with good selection of meats, cereals and fruits, more than adequate. Reception staff...

The hotel is in a quite street in the center of Madrid (Gran Via / Callao) very useful for tourists. The property is a little bit old fashioned, clean but old. Common spaces (lobby, breakfast room) tights, The staff kind and professional. The room is clean and spacious, but unfortunately the old furnitures and the general state of the room...

Easy walk to Plaza Mayor, good shopping and food within a few minutes walk in any direction. El Corte Íngles locations with good supermarkets are about a five-minute walk. Room 104 and 403 both faced the small street you enter and had some noise from the hallway/street. Small rooms but fine for two people without a lot of luggage. Room...

Excellent hotel, excellent service, room very clean, the bed is very comfortable. We stayed there only one night after a long ✈ flight from Costa Rica and before our flight back to Barcelona. That was a good choice, The breakfast was amazing. Thank you.

I paid nearly 100 euros for a very very small bedroom with a single bed. Very good location in the city centre. My advice is book for two even if you travel solo price difference should be few euros and you will get a decent bed. Bedroom 511 was too small and bedroom 212 was noisy close to the lift

Mixed Feelings Not sure how to rate this hotel so I am just going to list the pro and cons with one of the cons being a huge problem from my perspective: Pro. 1. Clean 2. Nice hotel, nice room. 3. The room was big. Very big compared to some other European hotels. I was traveling alone. 4. Great location...

Located in the heart of the city, just a few metres from many metro and bus stops. Great hospitality and welcome. Clean, modern and functional rooms, with daily cleanliness of the room. Filling breakfast.

The location is very good, in a small sidestreet of Gran Via. That means that restaurants, shops, cinema, theaters and public transport is only a few meters away. It is also fairly quiet, no disturbing noises. However, the hotel is old and dated, and not in a charming way. It is fine, if you just need a place to sleep,...

We stayed here with our 2 year old daughter. Standard Best Western issue. The room has an electric kettle ( we dipped the milk bottles in them to warm the milk for our daughter ) , else have to use the breakfast room which eventually closes by 9. Very conveniently located. Walkable distance to many of the touristy spots. There...

Staying in Malasana

Neighbourhood Profile
Malasana
Hip bars and galleries, independent theaters and music venues, young people with tattoos and funky hair, narrow winding streets — this is Malasaña. Near the center, Plaza Dos de Mayo is a gathering of friends outside bars, dog owners, artists under craft tents, and creative types with notebooks and sketchpads on the plaza’s benches. It may not be as neat and tidy as many other parts of the city, but this only adds to the Malasaña edge. Shops and bars here range from hippie-crunchy to upscale trendy, and on weekends, the streets are bustling around the clock as the nightlife progresses from dinner to bar to disco to late-night food. On the west side of the neighbourhood is the subdistrict called Conde Duque, named after a large pink fort in its center that has been converted into a cultural center for exhibitions and performances. Prettier yet just as edgy, this intimate corner of Malasaña is home to a young international community.
