It was in a great location, we checked in in the building across from the actual hostel, I had received an email with what we needed to do, so ensue you check the email you booked with prior to arriving, but it was easy to find, the room was in a lovely old building and the size was good enough,...

If you don't care about sleep and want to party all night long, this hotel is the place for you! You can leave your luggage and freshen up no problem, but sleeping is not really an option. The beds are like wooden planks but that's not all. The noise coming from the other rooms and the street is pretty horendous....

One thing that stands out is the location of this hostal. It's located on a pedestrian only street sort of in an open-spaced mall. It's near to the Gran Via and subway stations. Almost all the museums, plazas, Madrid palace are within walking distance. There are also plenty of restaurants nearby. The front desk staff was very friendly. We asked...

Recently stayed there with a friend. As we are both heterosexual males, we asked for 2 single beds but when we arrived we had a double bed between us and when we complained to reception they couldn't understand a word of English so it was a waste of time also the bathroom was very small and it was nearly impossible...

It was a simple room but very private we could come and go as we pleased. It had an ensuite, WiFi, a tv and a safe in the room. It's right in the middle of the city, you walk straight in to the bohemia area which is full of shops and places to eat. It's so simple to get to...

Excelent budget accomodation right there in the centre of Madrid, clean, well mantained and very professional and helpful staff. 5 minutes to the train station, walking distance to major landmarks, restaurants and Cafes. Staff arranged a taxi service to the airport.

Me and 5 friends stayed in this Hotel/Hostal for 3 nights and were very happy with our stay. The location is perfect surrounded by shops and restaurants. The Gran Via is a 2 minute walk which has everything you need including bars and restaurants with seating outside. The rooms we had were clean and the beds were comfy so no...

Staying in Chueca

Neighbourhood Profile
Chueca is the hip, gay neighbourhood of Madrid where many of the streets are narrow and intimate, but where the hustle and bustle and the eclectic storefronts and people give it a distinctly urban feel. The main thoroughfare is Calle Hortaleza and the main square is Plaza Chueca, completely filled with terraza tables serving copas (mixed drinks) during summer. A mixture of trendy and grungy, some of the adult businesses here are explicitly racy in their signage. From the rainbow flags to the signs above the entrances of its many funky bars, to the date spot restaurants, Chueca is a vibrant and colorful place. It's always interesting to explore the different corners of Chueca by day, and by night, the area becomes a major nightlife destination when the clubs open their doors.

“We were on a street facing room and enjoyed looking out on to the street as there was a lot going on. I am unsure if the hotel had rooms not looking on to the main street however these may be something to consider if you need it to be very quiet.”
