If it had not been that our spanish friends had booked and paid for this hotel in advance, then i would have walked out within minutes....The bathroom had just had bleach slung around it, the top cover of the bed was so stained it was unbelievable and the towels, well i can say no more...... the breakfast was passable (i...

Having recently stayed here for three nights on a visit to Gib i can say i was happy with the hotel and the service provided. We stayed on a bed and breakfast and had the private bathroom. The rooms are basic but comfortable. The room we stayed in had a double bed and a single as well with and ensuite...

Having read all the reviews I can well understand why some people did not like their stay at the cannon hotel but my wife and I got value for the money we paid, our room was clean, the food was ok and the service was good, we feel that some people want four star hotels for 20 odd quid a...

While the rooms are very cheap the quality is very poor. In particular a lot of the fittings were broken and we found the heat stifling. I would recommend the Cannon only to someone on a very tight budget.

I'd call it a one star upgraded hostel rather then a hotel. Big advantage is location. It's in the middle of the city, with nice pubs around it. Rooms are clean small, no air con and packed with tiny beds. Breakfast was included but do not expect to much. Nice patio where you can enjoy morning newspaper. If you are...

Stayed with my elderly mother in a twin room with shared bathroom. First time at this hotel and will definitely return. All parts of the hotel spotless, breakfast wonderful and staff helped me on numerous occations way beyond what is normally expected. Hope to return soon.

Booked in and out again within 30 mins. This place is filthy. We took a peek at the bed linen and pillows which was a shock - covered in unmentionable stains. Heaven knows what had been wiped on the curtains. Bathroom full of mould and the whole place smelt like a dos house. There is no way you would pay...

my partner and i have both stayed at the cannon before. It has always been basic and that is what we expected this time. What a shock. it was FILTHY ! cigarette ends on the windowsill inside and outside . Smelly room, dust ALL over the floor & skirting boards etc.. it seemed no effort had been made to clean...

Not a bad deal. The hotel is aging a bit, but the price is right. A little worn, but clean and servicable. Beds were a little lumpy - I can sleep anywhere so it didn't bother me but the more delicate among you might be wary.
