I have stayed in literally hundreds of historical properties throughout Europe, the Middle East and Northern Africa, in the last 30 years. This is one of the best. Although lacking amenities such as a gym or pool, the atmosphere screams history and class. Walking the corridors feels like being alone in a museum without guards. Beautifully renovated and modern. The...

I just left this Parador after a 2-stay. The building is really impressive and my standard double room was very large, with a comfortable bed and a pillow menu with 5 or 6 different types for you to choose from. The wooden floor in the room, however made a lot of noise when you walk. This was a major inconvenience...

Staying here was an outstanding experience and we recommend this magnificent parador as a perfect place to stay. We were aware the pedestrian street was open to cars for guests at the parador so we resolutely & cautiously drove thru the pedestrian street to the parador which is located on the Plaza Obradoiro across from the Cathedral. A valet drove...

Stayed here for 4 nights at the end of our 2 week tour of Northern Spain, not as luxurious as we are used to, definitely does not deserve the 5 star rating. This is supposed to be the best in the parador crown, after visiting two others anything could be better. Difficult to find, the signage is non existent, glad...

This is not a hotel, It's a castle with services that brings you back to the past as soons as you step inside the building. We feel that is a privilege to be a guest of this Parador, a few steps away from the cathedral were you can give an unfogettable hug to Santiago. Service, room, coffee, views and breakfast...

My friend and I had just finished our walk on the Camino Portuguese, and had booked this hotel in advance. Our plan included another hotel in Santiago on our first night in town, so we transferred here for our second and final night in Santiago. We simply could not pass on the opportunity to stay in the "oldest continually operating...

Whether you stay in the Paradore or not you will visit the hotel when you stay in Santiago de Compestela. It's simply one of the town's 'must sees'. What's good: location, location, location and over five centuries of history is just too much to ignore. Paradore guests get the indulgence of driving through this pedestrian town right into the cathedral...

This rather imposing Parador is in the Cathedral Square and close to everything in the old town. The rooms are very nice, there are garage parking facilities at € 18.00 per day reasonable, good breakfast. Walk Round to absorb the history of the building.

A beautiful building on the best place where you can stay in Santiago de Compostella. The reception was not what we expected, we needed to carry our own luggage and the information we got at the reception and concierge was rather poor. The common areas are spectacular, the hotel is a real museum. Exceptional. The room we got was excellent...
