Stayed last weekend for 3 nights with 3 female friends, apartment had a twin room and a double room with living room and kitchen area..as soon as we arrived the owner put another single bed in the living room.Fantastic location in old town but if mobility is a problem would be no good as uphill and cobbled streets but very...

We spent a weekend in one of the new apartments a little way from the hotel. Just opened, but in old buildings. The apartment was wonderful - old stone walls, tiled floors, modern kitchen and bathroom. You won't cook a 4 course meal - 2 rings and a microwave- but perfect for breakfast and lunch. Everywhere was spotless, and very...

Booked the Historic for our wedding anniversary trip this year on the strength of the reviews we read plus a brief visit to the city in July on our way to the airport. Hotel is amazing. We had a beautifully furnished and decorated room on the first floor that was kept spotlessly clean throughout our stay. The owner and his...

After 2 hours trying to find our hotel a person on the street walked us to Hotel Historic. It is located in the old city and is a feat to find. Thank goodness it was lovely because we were exhausted trying to find it. The old city does not allow cars. The steps and hills along with the winding streets...

I had a great time in Girona and the apartment we got at this hotel was quite nice. The lobby and main stairways are very modern looking, but the apartment side of the building (where my friend and I stayed) needed an update. This is in the middle of where you want to be if you are a tourist visiting...

Stayed in a double appt on top floor for 4 nights in early September. This is a find - 79 euros per night and towels etc changed daily. the bells are loud but part of the charm of being slap bang next to the Cathedral. Access to a courtyard garden. Great to be in a building photographed and admired by...

This is a lovely hotel. We had an apartment for five nights and loved the chance to spread out a bit more than we could in a room. Being close to the cathedral the bells are a "feature". They sound every quarter hour, and on the hour another, louder heavy duty bell chimes the time - and then just when...

We stayed in one of the hotel's apartments for five nights. The apartments are located in an ancient house near the cathedral and the conversion has only recently been completed. Overall, I would recommend the hotel over the apartments. With reference to other reviewers comments about the bells, the apartments are even closer to the cathedral resulting in even louder...

if you are planning to stay here you will most definately require ear-plugs but don't worry about investing in them beforehand as the hotel has enormous boxes of them! we could not spend more than a night as the bells are so loudl/ and not once but twice throughout the night on the hour. Also as the doors onto the...

This is truly one of the nicest hotels I have ever stayed in and certainly (& by some distance) the most charming. I would not stay anywhere else in Gerona, as if I did I would compare it with this and surely be dissapointed. Tucked away in a narrow street yards from the cathedral, with balconies overlooking the enchanting alleyways...
