We stayed for 2 nights, and were so impressed. From the second you walk in you can see it is a elegant, modern and clean hotel. Our hotel room was also great, plenty of space and a big comfy bed. Bathroom also has a rain shower. We were also so impressed with the location of the hotel, a 5 minute walk from La Ramblas, the metro station and from Vie La Laitenna. We felt very safe, we were offered free hand sanitizer and everything was socially distanced. Breakfast is quite pricey for 16 euro per person, however the food was great and you can order as much as you want. The cafe directly beside it is also amazing for breakfast for a fraction of the price. I find it very hard to fault anything about this hotel, I would highly recommend.

I chose this hotel because it was in the Gothic quarter and it turned out to be even better as it sits on the edge of the quarter and a short stroll from Plaça Catalunya the centre of the city.

It is a relatively small hotel on the side of a pedestrianised area and within 100m of the Cathedral.

Probably the best asset of this hotel are the staff. Everyone from reception to dining and housekeeping staff were so friendly and helpful. All of them had a friendly smile and couldn’t do enough to help.

As a smaller hotel it is compact with no walking corridors to find your room from reception. We had both standard and superior rooms and both were of a high standard. Housekeeping was of a high quality and the room facilities were up with the best. Bedding was great and the room was comfortably warm. There was some noise in early evening but expected given the location, however, it was gone early and a good nights sleep was had.

Breakfast was excellent with a great variety for all tastes and wonderful service.

We didn’t use the restaurant as it opened a bit for us at 8pm. The menu looked good. We did access the bar menu and the quality was good.

I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Barcelona, you won’t be disappointed.

We have just returned from a short break at this Hotel.
I selected the Hotel Barcelona Catedral for its excellent location and it certainly didn’t disappoint.
We were given a very warm welcome from the receptionist and found all the staff to be very friendly and efficient. We asked quite a few questions and always received very helpful responses!
Our room was spotless, the bed extremely comfortable and the bathroom was very well appointed with toiletries provided. Standard bathroom hairdryer.
We enjoyed a few drinks in the Hotel bar, and loved the idea of the cheese and wine at 5pm. It seemed very popular!
The location is perfect for walking around the Gothic Quarter and for access to La Rambla. We walked down to the waterfront easily, and made the most of the tapas bars and restaurants in the locality.
We used the Aerobus to travel to and from the airport. It is very easy to find at the airport and just a short walk from the bus stop in the city to the hotel. The hop on hop off tourist bus was a fantastic way to get your bearings and to get about the city, and a drink on the terrace of the Miramar is a lovely way to soak up the incredible view. We also enjoyed the Picasso Museum and it’s surrounding area.
I would strongly recommend this Hotel for a fantastic stay in Barcelona, and we will return.

We stayed as a family for 6 nights in August. First of all, the location really can't be beaten, next to the cathedral, near the Picasso museum, the Boqueria market, near the beach and close to countless restaurants. I chose it as it seemed to have one of the larger hotel pools in the city and it did not disappoint on that score. The kids loved hanging out at the pool. Unfortunately, many of the touches that previous reviewers have commended seem to have been victims of Covid procedures: rooms now have no mini bar, no ipod docking, no tea/coffee facilities, no water glasses (paper cups instead), the restaurant appears to be closed and there is no room service as far as I could tell. Perhaps a few too many compromises to make it truly 4 star.
However, the rooms themselves were spacious, the beds very comfy and the sound proofing excellent. The wifi was also very good - essential when having to negotiate complicated airline procedures!
There are also 6 bikes available free for guests which was really great, we used them a number of times.
I had a few issues with the service level and housekeeping and I eventually raised this with the manager towards the end of our stay. He was extremely apologetic and responsive, dealt with the issues and offered our party a complimentary breakfast the following day.
Any hotel can have issues, it's the way they are dealt with that matters and Alex the manager scored 10/10 on that front.
In short, I would recommend this hotel but perhaps wait until covid measures are no longer in operation.

Had a great time at this hotel! Very comfortable! Service from the employees was good very polite (Spanish people in general are very welcoming and polite). A few minor problems with the room I had which was a broken hair dryer and shower pipe was slightly leaking but they were solved pretty quickly from one request given. Very clean hotel, smells absolutely amazing when you enter. I cannot share enough words about how amazing the location was, if you are from London picture yourself to be in the middle of ST Pauls, Bond Street, Regent Street, Oxford Street and Covent Garden, that’s what it felt like for me everything was a short walking distance away! Very convenient. I had breakfast included but the menu was very standard so I chose to indulge in the beautiful cafe’s in the area instead. Slight noise from the outside area but not enough to disturb your sleep. Overall it was a great 4 days I had! Barcelona is absolutely stunning !

Stayed here for three nights on a city break. The hotel is located close to the old Cathedral and in the heart of the Gothic quarter. The lady on reception when we arrived was really helpful, supplying maps with useful information and advice on where to get breakfast.
Every day the hotel offered free wine and cheese for 15 minutes at 5pm which was a lovely treat at the end of a long day sightseeing. The complimentary bottle of water in our room was replaced daily which was really useful.
Beds were comfortable, bathroom was smart and well equipped.
I also enjoyed a swim in the roof top pool, it was a little chilly in early October but very refreshing.

Located conveniently in a modern building at the heart of the atmospheric old town. La Rambla, Pasaig de Gracia and even the seafront within walking distance. Don't worry about the lack of a fab view from the window; one step outside and you have it all. Fresh and tasty breakfast, ample, albeit not infinite choice, served in a nicely decorated dining-room. Good size of the room, and, although there was no armchair in ours, it was comfortable enough, mainly thanks to a very comfortable bed. The air-conditioning continually makes some slight noise, continually being the operative word, as it becomes unobtrusive once you get used to it. Good mini bar offer. The hotel goes an extra mile to be green, so read their green policy statements and comply if you can.
Take the walking tour which the hotel offers. It's worth your time. Use the hotel bar for a quiet drink, especially when the streets outside become overcrowded at the weekend. Ask the staff for any help, they are eager to be of service, although you have to make sure they not only apologise for any inconvenience but also deliver the goods. We will definitely recommend it. I hoped to have a swim, but despite a great weather I did not dare.

We started for ten nights in December and felt the hotel was great value for money and located in a fantastic location. The rooms are clean and are good size and the bed was huge and comfy. The main Cathedral is around the corner, so very close, but being down the side, the hotel is set back from a lot of the noise. The historic part of Barcelona is literally right outside and it’s walking distance to all of the main attractions and shopping areas. We loved that the hotel was dog friendly and the staff were all really welcoming and lovely. There is a small window each day where free wine and snacks are offered which was a lovely bonus. The on-site bar ‘ restaurant has really good food and was also well priced.

From the moment we checked in - which was early - the staff at the front desk could not have been more accommodating. They had our rooms ready early, provided great ideas for how to spend our day, had maps available. The servers in the bar/food area were also very helpful. I would definitely stay here again.
So convenient to shopping, the Cathedral, great restaurants - and for women travelling alone, we felt very safe.

Stayed here as a couple in February. It is a great hotel and perfect location. We arrived early and our hotel room was ready. Hotel room is nice an spacious and clean. The bathroom is quite big also. Breakfast was the best hotel breakfast I've had, in the sense of the table. When you are seated they bring over a tray of breads, pastries, juice, coffee and fruit. These are also available up at the counter. You also have a choice of cooked breakfasts. It is a nice touch. Another nice touch is the free glass of wine and selection of cheese in the evening. Nice few restaurants around the hotel also and within walking distance to a lot of the attractions. Will definitely stay here the next time I'm in Barcelona.

It did NOT offer any tests this past July. Numerous pharmacies nearby are your best bet for same day PCR tests. Also there were kiosks at the airport this summer.
