Barrio Gòtico (Barri Gòtic)
With its iconic, old-Europe streets and alleys, this picturesque neighbourhood is the very heart of Barcelona. It blends historic artifacts from its days under Roman dominion up through the Spanish Civil War with a vibrant modern-day culture of artisan shops and authentic culinary experiences. Avid explorers will be thrilled to discover quaint terraces and plazas brought to life by the many small bars and local musicians lasting late into the night. Fashionistas will be drawn to Portal de L’Angel, which is lined with well-known brand names and smaller boutique stands.

This is a Hotel with fantastic location - close to the Rambllas and on the other side to the Marina, renovated nicely enough, but then they are fumbling it up with old furniture (not speaking of some really old ones that are on display) and the general feeling of old, again in sp

Are there self service laundry facilities in this hotel - arriving from cruise.
Can I get a train from the Airport to the hotel? Which train do take and how far is it from the station?
Not that I’m aware of - however via taxi it was approximately 20 minutes & reasonable price.

I would like a higher floor room with a balcony and a view of the city is this possible please and how much for the two nights I have selected
Hi Kathryn, Hotel Medinacelli has about 5 floor levels with two street facing sides. The streets are generally not busy....both pedestrian and traffic wise. The front of the hotel overlooks a garden square. All buildings in this area are about 5 storeys tall, so no city views. My room had an opening door which faced the side street...no balcony as such. I'm not sure if the hotel guarantees rooms with street views. Suren Naidoo Jo'burg, South Africa
