This was our first visit to Spain. We chose this hotel for its location and were delighted by our experience. Unlike the experience of some others, we had great service from reception. The room was not huge, but we weren't expecting to spend much time in it. he bathroom was roomy and well set out. We loved the breakfast buffet... More

We had reserved a night at Hotel Medinaceli at the end of October thru AAA travel club. When we tried to check in the assistant manager said they were completely booked and that we had moved to another hotel. The time of our stay was off season and during the time we discussed this matter at the front desk we... More

Beside the Ramblas ans 2 km far from Barceloneta beach. You can reach the beach with relaxing walking. The hotel itself is in a fantastic position even if the quality of the service is not fantastic. All in all we can say that value for money is quite good.

Stayed for 2 nights in October. We were pleasantly surprised with the condition of the hotel and the location. Staff were friendly. Had a small concern regarding room temperature control (can't seem to get the room cooler) but otherwise had a great stay.

Everything about this hotel from the minute we arrived to departure was fantastic. The room was immaculate and spacious, the front desk was friendly and helpful. It is located very close to public transportation and the scenic and tourist hop on hop off bus lines, I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

I stayed for three nights to attend a conference but elected to stay not at the conference center but closer to the touristy sites. This hotel is an easy walk to Barcelonetta, La Rambla, the subway, etc... and I had plenty of easy-to-reach sites and restaurants. My room on the fourth floor had a view to the tree-lined park where... More

The hotel was very conveniently located close to La Rambla. My room was very pleasant with a modern bathroom. The bed was very comfortable. A tasty European breakfast was served in a pleasant dining room. Staff were very helpful and polite, and spoke good English.

My husband and I stayed for 4 nights, and we can't wait to return. The Medinaceli is just a block off the intersection of Columus and La Rambla, which means some of the best dining, shopping and sightseeing are just steps away. The staff was friendly and quick to recommend a great restaurant or attraction and the building, itself was... More
