We were so lucky to come across this gem of a Hostel. The staff was super friendly and helpful and they gave us directions and suggestions on places to eat. Great location in a really fun community surrounded by shops, places to eat and shop and even clubs, yet still quiet. Only a 15 minute ride on the metro to...

closed to the Ramblas (about 15 minutes walking) and to the port. Staff very kind. Breakfast is simple but enough. It is very closed to pub and disco therefore the nights are a bit noisy. Our bathroom need a renovation Beds were very comfortable. Very good rate quality/costs.

Good location with walk distance from the city center. Small room without aircondition, but clean and I appreciated own bathroom. Good price and nice and competent staff. Sometimes a little bit noisy because of another guests.

Very close to a metro station, with many restaurants around the area. The rooms are just basic rooms with anything special inside .. I didnt like the breakfast - just some bread with cheese and churizo

Location is excellent and staff very friendly except the night receptionist who is a little bit grumpy. I stayed twice and it has been the same 'treatment' both times. The rooms are simple but functional, but could definitely do with a fresh coat of paint and better overall cleaning. My room has a lot of hairs on the floor both...

I stayed in this hostel for 9 nights. Stuff was very polite. My room was quite small, the floor was cold because it was covered with tiles. It was rather dark there as the window looked out into the courtyard. And the other unpleasant thing was the cockroach. I found them twice, both time after I opened the window. At...

Excellent breakfast at the hotel, close to the sea and to the old town. No view at all from the hotel and/or from the room. The room was rather small, but not expensive. Convenient for visiting the town, less convenient for visiting the island.

My wife and I are currently staying at this hostal. It is very basic and cheap and if that's what you are looking for, it is great. Be aware that there is no safe in the room and it cost 2 euros a day for a safe near the laundry room. Sounds great but today I discovered accidentally that the...

Staying in Montjuic

Neighbourhood Profile
Montjuic
Beyond the four columns standing guard at the Plaça Espanya, beyond even the extravagant and colourful fountains guiding your way up the boulevard, stands the impressive and towering structure of the Palau Nacional, the national museum. At this very spot in front of the cascades of the central fountain, Freddie Mercury and Montserrat Caballe gave the performance of their lifetimes to welcome the 1992 Olympic Games to this magnificent city. And true to its anticipation, the games transformed the city, reimagining the mountain of Montjuic with the development of an arena, stadium, and many other sporting facilities that are open to visitors year-round. Surrounding the adjacent side of the plaza are well-established hotels catering to business guests and a shopping mall transformed out of a historic bullfighting arena.
