My wife and I had the pleasure of staying seven nights here from July 13, 2013. We arrived well before check in time. Although we could not check in we were treated upon our arrival as if we were visiting dignitaries. Our bags were tagged and later brought to our room. We were overwhelmed at first by the friendly happy... More

If you are looking for a modern hotel in the heart of Las Ramblas, this would be ideal. We really liked this hotel. It was in a nice location with very unique rooms. The bathroom/shower was something I had never seen before and there was a little room across the hall that we used to host our friends for wine/cheese.... More

I have never left a review before, but after a very special weekend in Barcelona, I felt I just had to support Casa Camper in my own little way. I mentioned that it was my 40th birthday on the day of arrival when we booked. Upon arrival, I was greeted by a birthday cake and candle and a chorus of... More

We are a family of 5 and is the second time we've stayed at the Casa Camper. We love this hotel for our family. First, the staff is fantastic. Very friendly and helpful whatever requests we made. Our children are 8, 4, and 4 and the staff definitely makes sure we are comfortable. Everything they helped us with from the... More

My husband and I stayed at Casa Camper for two nights from 8 July 2013. We arrived by taxi from Barcelona airport which cost E35 and took about 25 minutes. The hotel transfer is E80 for this same trip, but is not necessary as we did not need to wait for a taxi at the airport. FYI, tell your taxi... More

We ended our 2 1/2 week visit to Italy and Spain in Barcelona. Traveled with husband and 3 girls, 14 and 12 yr. old twins. Stayed in a total of 5 different hotels and this was the girls' favorite...probably because it was way cool and modern and they were tired of the Renaissance hotels of Florence and Rome. As with... Right in the middle of it all...walk steps to eat, enjoy sight seeing blocks in any direction and experience Barcelona like a local with the variety of bars and markets. This hotel has a warm hearted staff that made your visit their priority. Rooms were clean and well laid out (we stayed on 4th floor suite) Free breakfast and all... More

The staff are unbelievably helpful at this hotel! From printing our boarding passes, helping us make the most of our time in Barcelona, booking restaurants, providing great mass transit directions, and tourist recommendations, the staff far exceeded what we've observed almost all other hotels we've stayed in offer and they did it with pleasure and a genuine desire to give... Stayed here for 4 nights and had a great time. A lovely hotel, but some the reviews on here are a bit too gushing, but still very good for a city hotel. What I will say is that the 4 restaurant recommendations we received from the front desk each evening were spot on... We had some superb sea food meals... More

Casa Camper is perhaps one of the most unusual places in my travels. First the location is just stellar. It is off the main road of Las Ramblas, but it is a quiet side street. You have tranquility and craziness all at the same time Casa reminds me of a clean modern, ultra chic hostel. You have the main area... More

Staying in El Raval

Neighbourhood Profile
El Raval
Once a downtrodden corner of downtown Barcelona, this gritty area has seen a cultural resurgence boasting an excellent nightlife and one of the most multi ethnic spots in the entire city. A sense of humble authenticity protrudes from the many independent record stores, second hand shops, and student bars that seem to light up the streets day and night. The rocking epicenter, the MACBA Plaça, is a modern day forum for bohemian youth, abuzz with the sights and sounds of late-night gatherings and talented skateboarders showing off their latest tricks.
