the hotel is ok, but really nothing that gets close to a 4 stars. the room was on the smallish size with a very large bed, the bathroom was nice, but in serious need of a clean (had some serious size cobwebs & dust hanging from the ventilations system...). We ordered some room services which turned out to be microwaved...

Had a great experience in this hotel. Staff is very friendly and helpful and they speak many languages. Clean and nice rooms...all amenities are there and working. Great location in the middle of l'éixample area. 10 minutes walk from the man train station Sants where you can take a train to Sitges ( 30 minutes) for a very nice beach...

This hotel is a great option for those who wish to be a little off the beaten track while still close to all the touristy sites. If you want to be in the 'heart of the action', then this hotel is not for you. It is for you if you like the thought of a quiet refuge from the busier...

We stayed at the Amister for a long weekend. Parents plus an active 8 year old. Read the reviews and was a bit concerned. We were pleased when we arrived. Very helpful staff. A large room with air conditioning. Bright, fresh and insultaed from sound. 10 minute walk to one large train station as well as metro station. Very nice...

I really enjoyed this modern hotel. Staff on reception were helpful and let us use a laptop for checking out local attractions etc. Although a little out of the way it's nice to be away from all the hustle and bustle. Metro wasn't that far a walk.

Amister is a nice hotel, with fairly large rooms, in a quiet area of Barcelona. If you have to live within walking distance to La Rambla, this hotel might be a bit off, as it takes a good 20 minutes to walk to Placa de Catalunya. That said, taking a cab will probably not cost more than 5-7 Euro.

Good value for money. Very comfortable bed and quiet at night. Good breakfast. The location is not bad but the metro stations are a bit far.

Soon after checking in, the front desk staff pulled out a map and showed us the locations of the best attractions. It was very helpful and appreciated. The rooms were clean and comfortable. We found the hotel to a little far from many of the hot spots. It was very cold which made the walk seem that much farther. Looking...

Staying in Eixample

Neighbourhood Profile
Passing through the glorious Plaça Catalunya, you enter the newer city district of Eixample, literally translated as “extension,” which immediately becomes recognisable by its more spacious streets and elegant atmosphere. The main artery of this sizable district, Passeig de Gracia, is lined with high-end international designer stores. Not to be outdone, the glitz and glamour of this zone is perhaps best exemplified by the comfortable and lavish five-star hotels that flank the divine and modernistic buildings from some of the world’s most recognised architects such as Gaudi and Montaner.
