I stayed at this hotel for 3 nights. Staff was very helpful. Rooms were decent size and clean.B'fast and food was very expensive so preferred to eat outside. The most disappointing point about this hotel is internet service in waiting area. As I didn't carry my own laptop, I had to use their service. They just have one PC which...

We stayed in this hotel for 3 night while we were in Barcelona, the location is GREAT, metro across the street, quiet and safe area. The breakfast was expensive but a few min walk from the hotel you can find a few bakeries which are not very expensive and get coffee and a croissant. There are also stores walkable distance....

WE DISCOVERED BARCELONA IN THE MID NINETIES, and have returned seven times since, the last two times we have stayed at the Silken Concordia, on both occasions we have been struck by the friendliness of the staff not only on recption but in the resturant and the cleaning staff upstairs. The rooms are more than adequate size wise and comfortable....

Myself and a friend stopped at Hotel Silken Concordia. I was a tad nervous at first as we booked it because it was cheap but really didn't expect anything decent. The main lobby is clean and has access to the internet. The hotel room was spacious, with a big plasma tv and great air-con which actually works great. Only downside...

PROS Very friendly and helpful staff. Comfortable, clean and spacious room. In (20-30min) walking distance of the beach and the Old Town, and right opposite Metro station. Very good value for money. Free internet. CONS Rather lacking in character or atmosphere - both the hotel and the neighbourhood it's in. SUMMARY I was really pleased with this hotel for two...

I was there in May, spend 4 nights there. The reception staffs are friendly and helpful and speaks good English. Room and bathroom are quite clean. Location is not bad either as there are a metro station just accross from the hotel . Food in the restaurant is ok, it would be better if there are more selections of food...

We stayed two nights prior to joining a cruise ship. The staff were helpful and the room was clean and comfortable. Our room was on the second floor at the front but we were not disturbed by traffic noise. The breakfast buffet had a good selection. We had dinner the first evening which was fine except the restaurant lacked atmosphere....

Staying in Montjuic

Neighbourhood Profile
Montjuic
Beyond the four columns standing guard at the Plaça Espanya, beyond even the extravagant and colourful fountains guiding your way up the boulevard, stands the impressive and towering structure of the Palau Nacional, the national museum. At this very spot in front of the cascades of the central fountain, Freddie Mercury and Montserrat Caballe gave the performance of their lifetimes to welcome the 1992 Olympic Games to this magnificent city. And true to its anticipation, the games transformed the city, reimagining the mountain of Montjuic with the development of an arena, stadium, and many other sporting facilities that are open to visitors year-round. Surrounding the adjacent side of the plaza are well-established hotels catering to business guests and a shopping mall transformed out of a historic bullfighting arena.
