I'm a travel agent and had previously sent several customers in the past years and this time went on a 4 day ( pre-cruise vacation.) . staff at the reception always available to help with a smile. Buffet breakfast was more than adequate . Hotel has had renovations and our room was redone very nicely . if there were negatives...

Very Average and old hotel crying out for some face lift. Had to plug in for charging in hallway and bathroom no sockets next to the bed very inconvenient. Didn't like the flooring either would have been nicer if there was carpet instead as it gives you more hotel feel. Great Location close to gothic quarter.

We had a really quiet room at the back of the hotel which was excellent. Very clean but it would be good to have tea and coffee in the room. 2 min walk from the Gothic area and one of the main squares. Plenty of good cates and restaurants nearby. Breakfast was average no fresh eggs but plenty of it....

Stayed here for 3 nights after a cruise. Location was great walking distance to a lot of sites. Room was clean and roomy enough, our room faced the back alley so we looked at apartment balconies across the way. I do agree with other comments the shower is slippery and they should offer a tub mat. I went down to...

My husband, teenage son and I spent three nights here in two rooms on the third floor. We arrived at around midday and were allocated rooms immediately, which was good. I had previously asked for rooms in a quiet part of the hotel. I was told if we wanted rooms near each other, we could only have one room that...

The hotel was simple and clean but the bathtub/shower setup was the most dangerous I have ever seen. A fixed piece of glass covering the front half of the tub makes you step in and out of the tub at the rear where it sloped and there is a toilet next to the tub. There was no bath mat in...

I chose HCC Montblanc as a referral from NCL prior to my cruise. The room was pleasant (room 600), had no view (except back of hotel), but was clean and had black-out curtains. The AC worked well and hotel was centrally located which made it easy to get around Barcelona. Only downside was upon returning to our room after supper,...

This hotel was very very nice. Clean, modern. Shower was kind of odd..there wasn't enough glass partition to contain the shower water when you used it. A person just has to be careful not to slip on the floor when getting out of the shower. Buffet breakfast was good. This hotel is a great place to stay if you plan...

stayed here for 2nights with 8 other girls for my birthday. Hotel was in a great location, rooms large clean and comfy and hotel staff very friendly. You even get a free glass of cava in the piano bar. Breakfast was fantastic lots of choices. All in all can't fault anything about this hotel. Would definitely recommend.

We've stayed 5 nights at the hotel, first impression is that it seems to be rather old, but once in the room (wide, comfortable in every aspect, with soundproof windows (very important as this hotel is just two blocks away from Plaza Catalonia, simply the heart of Barcelona and street noise could be very high and with correct room service)...
