We arrive to the hotel 12th of November on the afternoon and we stayed for 3 nights. At first glance the hostel was looking great, amazing location (5 minutes walk to Plaza Catalunya) and very friendly service. The next day morning is when we started paying more attention to little things in the room, such as cleanliness, noises and service.... More

Very well located and clean hotel within walking distance of Las Ramblas and the metro to other attractions. The hotel was clean and eco-friendly. It has the front desk in a small lobby manned at all times and good security - you have to ring a buzzer to get in the hotel. My only complaint is that it had no... More

Stayed here for 2 nights with a group of friends in 3 twin rooms. Location is perfect - walking distance to everywhere touristic, near the metro/airport bus, but set on a quiet pedestrianised street. The rooms, and the whole place, are stripped back, clean, modern and basic. That is, basic in a good way: no clutter, no tv, no kettles,... More

I shall return here if I ever go back to Barcelona. Superb location - a couple of minutes walk from the central Placa Catalunya, where the bus from the airport drops off passengers heading into central Barcelona - and close to some really good, reasonably priced restaurants. Walk further and you'll find even better ones. The hotel doesn't offer breakfast,... More

The hotel and staff were delightful. Our room was large, well-decorated and very comfortable. Decorated in a restful color scheme with lighting in all the right places. We had requested and received a balcony which looked out over the street and a charming nearby square. When we closed the patio doors, we had complete silence. The bed was terrific, the... More

Cozy hotel in the heart of the city, with incredibly helpfull and patient staff. So many things that made our stay there special - from quality bed, perfect shower, great coffee to really good tapas bar - Centric - next door, or Chok with voluptuous donats across the street. Can't praise the staff enough, though. Thanks again! Hana and Alex

The hotel is located conveniently close to the tourist highlights of Barcelona while not being stuck in the loud main bar scene. The whole hotel is very well presented, staff are friendly and attentive. Recommend.

The room was great, the personnel were friendly and helpful and the location was fantastic! Thank you very much for your review. Yes, I remember very well that you had to move rooms and it was a little bit annoying but I am happy to know that some nice chocolates could compensate switching rooms. : ) As per the internet connection, it is 100% save, even if you connect through facebook. Staying in El Raval

Neighbourhood Profile
El Raval
Once a downtrodden corner of downtown Barcelona, this gritty area has seen a cultural resurgence boasting an excellent nightlife and one of the most multi ethnic spots in the entire city. A sense of humble authenticity protrudes from the many independent record stores, second hand shops, and student bars that seem to light up the streets day and night. The rocking epicenter, the MACBA Plaça, is a modern day forum for bohemian youth, abuzz with the sights and sounds of late-night gatherings and talented skateboarders showing off their latest tricks.
