very convenient location, and very nice and helpful front desk. came with two kids (14, 8) and never felt in danger, but would not recommend for single women at night, but that's true for the entire area. kids loved elevator (old-fashioned European, probably feels claustrophobic to most adult Americans), which has three separate doors, depending on the floor. most important...

Hostal Levante offers no luxury, but simple rooms (no TV) for people who like to stay in the heart of Barcelona. It's also on a very quiet street (pedestrian).

Hostal Levante served its purpose very well. As we were going to Barcelona for a short city break, we knew we wouldn't be spending much time at where ever we booked. It was clean, well situated and there was always someone on the desk (though with varying levels of English). As is it a budget option, it does attract a...

Don't ever stay at Hostal Levante!!! Ever!! One nigt when my wife and I came back some one had been in our room and stolen everything. But they had used a key - the door was not broken. When we asked how it was possible to get in we were told that it was impossible. There was only one key...

Hostel Levante is probably one of the few hotels, in the heart of the city, that is very affordable. It is basic but most importantly clean, and just a stone's throw from La Ramblas. It offers great value for money, and I certainly would go back for a third time to stay ;)

The Hostal Levante is a clean basic hotel. The beds were very comfortable and my room was usually quiet. Except for one night and that was due to a really drunk hotal guest.

We (two german couples 43-54 years old) have been there from 21.11.07 to 24.11.07 - 3 nights. Its a nice basic hostal very close to the Plaza Real and Ramblas. The rooms are small but clean , the beds are comfortable and there are doule-glass-windows you may close overnight. If not, of course you will hear the noise from outside...

We had problem with finding hotel due to timing. So, we ended up reserving with Levante who confirmed our reservation, but then informed us of problem. No room left - so hotel offered to rent us one of their small apartments for rent. While my sister and her partner - first time to Europe - loved it, we hated it....

A last minute booking, what do you expect? Well more than what I got for my money that's for sure. The rooms were freezing, yes yes, someone was going to put the heater on...in December. It was so noisy and that was on the inside and the staff were indifferent (was I in France instead?).Not recommended even for last minute....
