Though called a Hostel this first floor establishment is as good or better than many city hotels - but very well priced. Everything works as it should. The owners are hugely obliging. Bedroom was spacious, and the bed comfortable. We were able to walk from the hotel to many of the places we wanted to visit including the Basílica de...

Hostal Eixample is the perfect bed & breakfast. From when you check in with Eva till when you leave you will be so pleased with the attentive and very friendly staff. The place is very very clean and nicely decorated. The included breakfast is made to order for you each morning. In my opinion, it could not be better for...

It is situated near the main square, near the underground, near bus to airport, near to the shopping area, near to restaurants. It occupies the second floor (but in the lift press the button primero). Breakfast is very good. They prepare cheese and ham omelette for you, probably because many guests come from northern Europe. They are nice, kind and helpful. My friend...

This is a very basic facility, but we nevertheless enjoyed our stay because of the good location close to a metro station as well as other attractions. The breakfast was also basic but adequate. The room was of a good size but the bathroom was small. This hostal is worth to consider for a short stay.

This place has a lot of pluses, particularly the location. The Eixample district isn't beautiful but very noisy, but it is also in the heart of the city, so when you stay here you can explore just about everything on foot. Also, most of the hostal's staff are very nice and accomodating and the hostal is clean. Overall, you'll find...

A functional and clean hostal in a good location for visiting Barcelona. Not the most delicious breakfast we've ever had but overall very good value. No frills but we had everything we needed and nice staff to talk to. And a fabulous balcony!

Old building with an old elevator seems nice. The area was nice and looked pretty safe even at late hours. The room was a little bit small but it was clean and had an also private bathroom. We found poor breakfast between 9.30 and 10 o'clock. But nice staff nice hospitality. We were even able to leave the luggage there on...

Me and my girlfriend spent some days there and it was a good experience. The location is very convenient, and the breakfast was very good (great coffee). We knew another couple during breakfast time because there is a big table to breakfast and is easy to know people. Rooms are ok, really clean.

The hostal is very well situated, walking distance to everything. We were allocated a tiny room overlooking the street, which had double glazing over part of the window only. The room was spartan and the bathroom totally inadequate - so small I had to twist my legs to avoid the wall when using the loo. Next day, we asked for...

Staying in Eixample

Neighbourhood Profile
Eixample
Passing through the glorious Plaça Catalunya, you enter the newer city district of Eixample, literally translated as “extension,” which immediately becomes recognisable by its more spacious streets and elegant atmosphere. The main artery of this sizable district, Passeig de Gracia, is lined with high-end international designer stores. Not to be outdone, the glitz and glamour of this zone is perhaps best exemplified by the comfortable and lavish five-star hotels that flank the divine and modernistic buildings from some of the world’s most recognised architects such as Gaudi and Montaner.
