This hostel seemed to be very popular with backpackers, although it did still suit me and three other friends going to Barcelona for a city break. The location is amazing, next to La Rambla and the hostel is set on a beautiful square 'Placa Reial' which has lovely restaurants and some live entertainers. Rooms were small but clean, however don't...

The worst hostel I've stayed at in my three month Europe trip. As mentioned in several other comments, the beds are terrible. No sheet provided (2 euros if you want to rent it) and the blanket didn't look washed. I stayed in the 24 bed room where it was impossible to get even a few hours of decent sleep. The...

I chose this Hostel because of the good prices and excellent location. That is it. Everything else was absolutely disgusting, including bedrooms and bathroom. I might have ignored all if only you had clean bed sheets , or even bed sheets at all. Seriously, wash your blankets, you have all sorts of bugs in there.

My wife and I stayed in a 20 person bunk room, which was noisy. We didn't sleep super well every night. But they give free breakfast and a free pasta dinner, and the location is unreal in the Plaza Real right next to the Rambla. It's worth a stay. Get a room with less people than the 20.

Firstly, to anyone who complains about this place I don't get it, party hostel is right in the name! And that's what this place is, a fun party hostel for young people. Great location right near la rambla and the big market (la boqueria?), and the metro too. Met some really cool people here, rooms were a little crowded and...

The hostel had a great location at plaza real, making easy to walk through the old city. Bedrooms were clean and bathrooms too, plus they had lockers that worked with your card so you dont need a lock. Showers with cold and hot water that worked fine (although it was a little annoying that you had to press a button...

Staff weren't helpful. I often felt like I was an inconvenience, including security. Ticket machines for everything you do, laundry, drinks, towels etc. Drug dealers and hookers at every corner, so be very careful with this location. The list goes on. There are better hostels in Barcelona. Toilets always blocked.

Basically I was pretty disappointed when I entered my room, no one at the reception asked me if I want the top or bottom bed (on top of all my check in was pretty late, 3am or something), and I've noticed that not all beds were taken (I was accommodated in 8 dorm). Above all I was assigned with number...

This is clearly a party hostel, they are not pretending to be anything else. That's why I do not understand people who post negative reviews saying it's too noisy and they couldn't get some sleep. It's advertised as a party hostel. it is clearly described as a party hostel in any booking site, so why the heck stay here then...

Yes, this hostel might be "accessible" but when we reached there we were greeted with a huge flight of stairs and a locked wheelchair lift which took the manager 15 minutes to get working. We made a booking a month in advance and specifically mentioned in our booking that we needed a wheelchair accessible room. However, when we arrived, the...

Neighbourhood Profile
Barrio Gotico (Barri Gotic)
With its iconic, old-Europe streets and alleys, this picturesque neighbourhood is the very heart of Barcelona. It blends historic artifacts from its days under Roman dominion up through the Spanish Civil War with a vibrant modern-day culture of artisan shops and authentic culinary experiences. Avid explorers will be thrilled to discover quaint terraces and plazas brought to life by the many small bars and local musicians lasting late into the night. Fashionistas will be drawn to Portal de L’Angel, which is lined with well-known brand names and smaller boutique stands.
