Hotel is ideally situated on Las Ramblas but a front room with balcony view is essential. The rooms are smallish but clean and comfortable. The staff are very helpful and friendly. The disappointment was the free 24 hour drinks and snacks. The beer was lovely, the wine wasn't and the food was very basic and never changed from day to...

The hotel is a gem! It was our first trip to Barcelona and we were only going to be in town for a couple of days, so we wanted something that was smack in the middle of it all - this was perfect! It's quirky, charming, the decor is interesting, the staff was very friendly, helpful especially Vivienne! Our daughter...

Small room, nothing great about their 24 hours buffet .... I guess this adds up a lot into their pricing, paid €534 for 3 night excluding city taxes with a room with a balcony. Balcony was super small not worth the extra € Only thing great about this Hotel was the central location on Las Ramblas and near to Catalunya...

Our stay was delightful from beginning to end! We arrived from the cruise ship before our room was ready.... no problem as our bags were stored, we had breakfast at their 24/7 buffet and off we went for sightseeing. The location on Las Ramblas was exceptional though glad our balcony was over the outdoor dining area...much quieter for sleeping. Staff...

This hotel is a gem! It's a block from the transportation hub and sits right on Las Ramblas. We had a room on the 4th floor with a small balcony with two chairs and a tiny table, overlooking las Ramblas. We were high enough to be above most of the noise, but could enjoy watching the activity through the trees...

This is a quirky pink hotel. The staff are so helpful, they will do all the can to make your visit a success. I had two rooms after a mix up that was more my fault than there's. Vivian on reception was fantastic. The first room was abit dated and small but was spotless. The second room was newer and...

Appalling décor, appalling staff, appalling food, appalling dated 1* accommodation. Can not think of a worse hotel except one in Guernsey. It's only star was for being on Los Ramblas. The bed was comfortable and the shower was hot, that is the best I can offer.

Rooms are small but functional. There is the usual noise from other guests returning in the early hours, but at least the doors close quietly unlike many other hotels we've stayed in. The location is perfect, easily accessible from Placa Catalanya where the airport bus ends its run. The 24/7 buffet is okay, everything is cold and you heat what...

As a first-time visitor to Barcelona, I was determined to see as much as I could, so I wanted to stay at a hotel near the town centre. Travel writer Rick Steves brought the Continental to my attention; it was right on the Rambla, off the Placa de Catalunya, and though it was an old-fashioned European hotel (imagine three hotels...

This hotel has a very good location on top of La Rambla. You are close to everything i Barcelona. The busstops are very close and you can stroll down La Rambla as soon as you get out of the hotel. The hotel offers you 24 hours service of food. You are allowed to have food and drink during the whole...

Neighbourhood Profile
Barrio Gotico (Barri Gotic)
With its iconic, old-Europe streets and alleys, this picturesque neighbourhood is the very heart of Barcelona. It blends historic artifacts from its days under Roman dominion up through the Spanish Civil War with a vibrant modern-day culture of artisan shops and authentic culinary experiences. Avid explorers will be thrilled to discover quaint terraces and plazas brought to life by the many small bars and local musicians lasting late into the night. Fashionistas will be drawn to Portal de L’Angel, which is lined with well-known brand names and smaller boutique stands.
