I needed a Hotel in the centre of Barcelona, because of having no a late diner and an early meeting the next day. The location is perfect and close to everything. The bed was probably quite old and wasn't that comfortable. The breakfast was basic, like the rest of the hotel was.

Just returned from 3 nights stay at this hotel, location ideal, just off Las Ramblas. Room was clean, but one of the pillow cases dirty, reception staff OK, but breakfast staff especially the waitress very rude, snapping at customers. Limited breakfast choice, no fresh fruit, disappointing. Room bland and depressing, beds uncomfortable and pillows like concrete. Would not return to...

Our second visit and we loved it again - thank you to all the great staff. Location wise this is perfect for us. Close to everything and out of the bustle when you need a break. Check out the coffee and bakery across the road!

The good - central location and quiet. And then - no style, no graciousness. Only one reception desk person showed any interest or acknowledgement that I was there. Breakfast staff won't look at you and the pickings are slim. Old thin towels, stingy with soap and old hair dryer.

I stayed here for a few nights with my partner and location was perfect to see everything we needed. Just off la Rambla and near to La Boqueria, the nearest metro is within a few minutes walk from the entrance. Despite this we found the location to be nice and quiet. We only used the metro a couple of times...

Staying in El Raval

Neighbourhood Profile
El Raval
Once a downtrodden corner of downtown Barcelona, this gritty area has seen a cultural resurgence boasting an excellent nightlife and one of the most multi ethnic spots in the entire city. A sense of humble authenticity protrudes from the many independent record stores, second hand shops, and student bars that seem to light up the streets day and night. The rocking epicenter, the MACBA Plaça, is a modern day forum for bohemian youth, abuzz with the sights and sounds of late-night gatherings and talented skateboarders showing off their latest tricks.
