this would have been a good stay. Pleasant, helpful staff and the good/ central location would make this hotel a good choice. But, it is unlikely that I'll go back there, especially to stay in one of the luxury rooms. The bathroom had a bath unit, with enough bits and pieces to allow 4 adults to shower simultaneously, without bothering...

Cool hotel. Nice part of the city, though a bit away from the main attractions. There is a metro station nearby though, so probably not much hassle to get into the old town. We walked it and it was a bit of a slog-good to do once, to get your bearings but afterwards get the metro.. Couple of nice restaurants...

My wife and I got the room on the 9th floor and all I have to say is the room was huge in comparison to our hotel in Paris. We also had our own patio which was great. The location is about a 20 minute walk to Rambla de Catalunya and Passeig de Gràcia where all the shops area. I...

As my title states, we only stayed one night. The hotel itself is dark. Black walls, dim lighting, dark wood coloring. It kind of made it a little creepy. The room itself was ok. Pretty dark as well, but if you turn all the lights on its not so bad. Couple of things weird/bad about the room: 1. We had...

We stayed here for my birthday back in March of this year. From the moment you walk in you can tell this is a boutique hotel and was very clean and modern. The room was very nice although didn't have much of a view from the window but that didn't matter so much as we were too bust exploring Barcelona...

I stayed here for two nights from Aug 28-30th before a Mediterranean cruise. I only paid about $100 a night for this hotel and was very pleased with the value I received. The hotel staff is friendly and helpful and the rooms are comfortable with a safe in each room. We stayed in a basic room which had a balcony...

Our family of three stayed here for 3 nights in August. It's a very modern hotel, with sleek fixtures and fittings. However it's very dark and our internal room had hardly any natural light. I didn't think this would bother me however it did! We couldn't tell what the weather was like without going outside or upstairs to the terrace....

My wife and I stayed in a "Top Room" for 4 nights for our anniversary. The Check in was smooth, with friendly multilingual staff. Our room was on the 10th floor, and there was always a lift waiting for us in the lobby whenever we came back. The room was large, with a big private terrace with views over the...

The lobby and common rooms on the main floor are very nicely decorated, a sleek but warm welcoming feel. Our triple room was spacious but looked into the shaft, no view, and we had to keep the shades drawn for privacy. The bathroom was sleek black marble but no fan and a musty smell. The tub had the strangest faucet...

We decided to stay at U232 because hotels in Barcelona seemed overpriced, and Tripadvisor reviews hinted at low standards in their tourism industry. Not wanting to feel ripped off, U232 looked like a safe bet with its reasonable prices and stylish rooms. The reason you pay a lot less is because the area is quite removed from the main city...

Staying in Eixample

Neighbourhood Profile
Eixample
Passing through the glorious Plaça Catalunya, you enter the newer city district of Eixample, literally translated as “extension,” which immediately becomes recognisable by its more spacious streets and elegant atmosphere. The main artery of this sizable district, Passeig de Gracia, is lined with high-end international designer stores. Not to be outdone, the glitz and glamour of this zone is perhaps best exemplified by the comfortable and lavish five-star hotels that flank the divine and modernistic buildings from some of the world’s most recognised architects such as Gaudi and Montaner.
