The location very close to Plaza Espanya and the metro station makes it perfect for exploring the city using the metro system. Because of reconstruction work on the Arena de Barcelona, the hotel has become a little difficult to reach by car when going there for the first time using GPS. The garage is adequate and safe (Euro 15 per...

Stayed 1 night precruise in a standard room. Got a great rate through booking.com which made location issues secondary. Used metro to get around which work well once we got our bearings. Room was small with a large comfortable bed. Bathroom was large. Breakfast was good and was included in our rate. Staff was very helpful.

I spent a long time on trip advisor and the net trying to find a reasonably cheap hotel for a weekend in Barcelona - eventually chose this one but it still cost 300 euros for 2 people, 2 nights (including breakfast). As all the reviews say, the location is excellent, not bang in the centre but handy for the Aerobus...

Stayed with 2 other friends. The triple room was huge and spacious, and the bathroom was huge as well, with a shower and bathtub. Free internet on the second floor, only 2 terminals so you can use it as long as nobody else is. Friendly staff at front desk. The lifts sound very wonky and scary though, but didnt break...

I am quite familiar with many hotels in BCN from the hostel style to 4 star luxury. This is the first time I stayed at this hotel. It is in an excellent location just a five minute stroll from the AeroBus stop and Metro in Plaza Espana. It took just 5 minutes to check-in and receive my room key card....

Excellent location just minutes from the Fira (exhibition center). Really great !!! The hotel is only a minute walk from Plaza Espanya, about 250 meters, which is not only located in the center of the city but is one of the places where the aeroport bus stops !!!! and is only two metro stops from the Sants railway station where the...

Hi all potential Barcelona travelers. I studied up on Barcelona hotels (on tripadvisor of course) and was relatively happy with my selection of the Onix Fira where I stayed for 4 nights in July while attending some business meetings. The Onix Fira is small and quite utilitarian. In other words, it's a nice clean simple hotel with a decent breakfast...

I stayed in the Onix Fira with my boyfriend for a long weekend, the room was clean but very very basic, so its Ok i guess for a place to crash after a full day out. We were meant to have a double bed, but it was actually two single beds put together. There was free internet access all the...

Staying in Eixample

Neighbourhood Profile
Eixample
Passing through the glorious Plaça Catalunya, you enter the newer city district of Eixample, literally translated as “extension,” which immediately becomes recognisable by its more spacious streets and elegant atmosphere. The main artery of this sizable district, Passeig de Gracia, is lined with high-end international designer stores. Not to be outdone, the glitz and glamour of this zone is perhaps best exemplified by the comfortable and lavish five-star hotels that flank the divine and modernistic buildings from some of the world’s most recognised architects such as Gaudi and Montaner.
