There is a vast array of hotels to choose from when stopping in Barcelona and this hotel should definitely be on your short-list for the mid-price point range when making a choice. The location is great with a 10-15 minute stroll down Av Para-lel to the Harbour and a 5-10 minute walk to the Rambla. There is a Metro station...

Very clean and modern. Staff was always exceptionally friendly and extremely helpfully. The manager took the time (45min) to assist me with driving directions recommending alternate plans to avoid driving in the heavy traffic. The restaurant breakfast buffet provided very nice selection of fresh foods to satisfy all nationalities. Seating was a bit tight. The entire hotel including the restaurant...

Upon arrival we were allocated room 108, which really should be one of the worst rooms in the hotel: it's on the first floor facing noisy Paral.lel and is very close to the breakfast room. However, the room was soundproofed enough that with the windows closed the traffic on the street is inaudible and the traffic/noise from the breakfast room...

The hotel could not be better located with the metro outside the front door and within easy walking distance from the port and La Rambla. If you have suitcases I would recommend taking a taxi from the airport as there were far too many stairs to walk down on the metro as all escaltors seemed to be going up! The...

This was the third hotel my wife and I stayed at while traveling through Spain. I must admit, the room is a tiny fit for two people plus luggage, but with all the storage elements in the room, you could still put stuff away to move around. The room, though tiny, was clean and well designed. The front desk staff...

This hotel reminded me of somewhere I would stay in the States. Great size room and modern look. We were about a 10min walk from the Port and La Rambla. There is also a metro stop right outside of the hotel which made it easy to get around the city! The staff is very helpful and answered any and every...

This hotel locate in very good place, on the paral-lel street, just about 5-10min walk away from the port or ramblas area or from Palau Guell. Metro station is just on the front of the hotel. We had a two night stay here to see the highlights of Barcelona and brought along our 7 month old baby girl. We really couldn't fault the hotel. From the moment the door staff helped us out of the taxi with our luggage we were made to feel welcome which we weren't too sure we would be with a rather...

This hotel is close to many popular places. It's clearly not a 5 star hotel but it is a nice hotel with decent and modern furnishing and very good and friendly service. We were able to walk to a number locations including the Columbus monument and La Rambla, without much effort. It is also close to many restaurants, and if...

The staff bended over backwards to make our staff comfortable and enjoyable. This was our first time in Barcelona, so the staff was very helpful in suggesting places to visit and to eat. Staying in El Raval

Neighbourhood Profile
El Raval
Once a downtrodden corner of downtown Barcelona, this gritty area has seen a cultural resurgence boasting an excellent nightlife and one of the most multi ethnic spots in the entire city. A sense of humble authenticity protrudes from the many independent record stores, second hand shops, and student bars that seem to light up the streets day and night. The rocking epicenter, the MACBA Plaça, is a modern day forum for bohemian youth, abuzz with the sights and sounds of late-night gatherings and talented skateboarders showing off their latest tricks.
