Spent 2 nights at this hotel after a cruise ended in Barcelona. We booked through Hotwire and got an excellent rate, and the hotel has a fantastic location. The metro is steps from the front door, and with a 7-10 minute walk or so, you are right on the Ramblas. It was also quite close to the cruise port, we...

DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL..... As a frequent traveller and someone who knows excellence in the hospitality industry, this is not the place for anyone. First, the vibe in the lobby was very cold and rude, as were both of the men at the front desk. THey could harldly be bothered to even welcome us. So we arrived a...

Another hotel we stayed in for a few nights whilst on our biking tour of Europe, the location is perfect for access to las Ramblas and various other sights in the city, also just a short walk away from marina area. Lovely spacious rooms although no balcony which I suppose is to be expected in a city hotel. Nice restaurant...

I was here for less than a day to be fair. I arrived late with a rental car. The hotel wasn't hard to find, but it was hard to determine where to stop and park. Once that was sorted, I thought it was clean and the reception staff were great. There was even an attendant to show and direct me...

Excellent location just a short walk to the marina area or la rambla with the metro station just outside the door. We had a room on the rear of the hotel as we had requested a quiet room. Accommodation was very good, spacious and clean. Reception staff were excellent and I wish I could speak Spanish as good as they...

Hotel is in a great location for the port and shopping. Hop on hop off bus only 5-10 minutes walk away. Rooms are well equipped, staff are very friendly and helpful. Front desk staff speak very good English.

We took a taxi from the airport which cost around 23 euros, upon arrival we were greeted by porters who collected our bags from the taxi and took them to our room ... we had alot of bags .. really need to learn the art of travelling light! Our first experience was walking up to a desk where 2 people ignored us. Requested a connecting room for our daughter which ended up down the hall. Very small rooms. No one offered to help with our bags. Bad location which we did not feel safe around the neighborhood.

I rarely write reviews even though I am a frequent traveller, however this hotel was an outstanding experience. The staff were helpful and quick to help as soon as we checked in. The rooms are lovely and spacious and very very clean! The location is excellent as if you re traveling with someone with little stamina there is still plenty...

I booked this hotel online for 5 nights and got a great deal (including bottle of wine) and wasn't quite sure what to expect. However, the TripAdvisor reviews were reassuring. The hotel was wonderful - front desk staff members were very helpful the whole time we were there; room was clean and comfortable; breakfast was substantial. However what I really loved...

Staying in El Raval

Neighbourhood Profile
El Raval
Once a downtrodden corner of downtown Barcelona, this gritty area has seen a cultural resurgence boasting an excellent nightlife and one of the most multi ethnic spots in the entire city. A sense of humble authenticity protrudes from the many independent record stores, second hand shops, and student bars that seem to light up the streets day and night. The rocking epicenter, the MACBA Plaça, is a modern day forum for bohemian youth, abuzz with the sights and sounds of late-night gatherings and talented skateboarders showing off their latest tricks.
