Hotel well situated to use public transport to explore Barcelona Good selection of cafes and restuarants closeby.Hotel amenities are of a good standard, though restuarant is relatively small and gets very busy at breakfast time. Hotel staff very helpful providing information on the city and ther best methods of travel

Let me say the positives. Very friendly staff, spotless housekeeping, nice bathrooms, comfortable bed and a neat little roof top pool area and small area for laying in the sun or reading. Very convenient location for walking to La Ramblas, the waterfront or to catch the Metro anywhere. We had four rooms and the rate for eight days was excellent....

This hotel is great if you are looking for a room for 3 people and/or families. The rooms are spacious and modern, ours had two singles and a very comfy sofa bed, 3 wardrobes, a safe, TV and spacious bathroom with bath & shower. Our room was spotlessly clean as was every area of the hotel. There are 3 lifts...

Great location, short walk from Las Ramblas. Good breakfast, comfortable rooms and very nice mojitos at the poolside bar on the roof. Great value for money too. Lots of little tapas restaurants and cafés around and much quieter than you would think from a hotel on a main road.

This was my second stay at this hotel, and aside from some minor irritations, we had an enjoyable time. For the price I don't think it can be beaten. We booked through the hotel's own website and got the early bird discount, only had to pay one night's deposit and got breakfast and a bottle of cava thrown in. All...

We stayed here for a short overnight visit to Barcelona prior to an early flight to the UK the next day. The location of this hotel is great on Avda Paral but not too far up that it’s too far to walk to the Marina, Las Ramblas and the beach etc. The hotel itself was of a very high standard...

We chose this hotel because of its location and we were happy with our choice as you can easily get to anywhere you want to in Barcelona. It's about a 10 minute walk to La Rambla, but there are also a few bars and restaurants along the street. We went to Los Cachitos on our last night in Barcelona (which...

This hotel can't be recommended. Staff at the front desk is very cold and not friendly at all. Room was clean upon arrival. However housekeeping couldn't maintain this during our stay. We had to ask for toilet paper since housekeeping didn't replenish it. A no-go for a 4 star $$$ hotel. Shower= small bathtubs. Our room (223) didn't have a...

This is a good hotel, although not a deal breaker the staff were all a bit grumpy! Breakfast was nice but a bit repetitive, the same thing every day which got boring! The rooms are very comfortable and clean, however there is only 1 mirror which is in the bathroom and steams up, so after you've had a shower and...

The rooms are clean, and service works fine. You've got comfortable walking distance to things from here, and we're not out late so we haven't noticed the neighborhood feeling dodgy or anything. But I wouldn't call the pond on the roof a "pool", and the breakfast would be fine for a three star hotel. Fine, not great. You've got a...

Staying in El Raval

Neighbourhood Profile
El Raval
Once a downtrodden corner of downtown Barcelona, this gritty area has seen a cultural resurgence boasting an excellent nightlife and one of the most multi ethnic spots in the entire city. A sense of humble authenticity protrudes from the many independent record stores, second hand shops, and student bars that seem to light up the streets day and night. The rocking epicenter, the MACBA Plaça, is a modern day forum for bohemian youth, abuzz with the sights and sounds of late-night gatherings and talented skateboarders showing off their latest tricks.
