Myself and a friend did 48hrs in the city as a girly escape. We had a large double room with small Juliette balcony overlooking the road. It was beautifully decorated and the bathroom was large and modern with an awesome hot shower. The rooftop bar is a lot larger than I expected and we enjoyed a few glasses of cava...

My partner and I stayed in this hotel for 4 nights. We received a warm welcome upon arrival. Although we arrived early before check in we were offered a room on the 2nd floor. We waited until check in for a room on the 6th floor and this was well worth it as we had amazing views of the buildings...

We stayed in a superior room. It probably was renovated recently with a large and modern bathroom and beautiful parquet floors. The rooms overlooking the street have nice light but are a little noisy. The rooms at the back are very quiet but look at the dumps. Front desk service was mixed, some extremely helpful some just polite. The location...

There's a lot more to this hotel than the first impressions gained at the entrance. With two metro stations within 200 metres on each side of the hotel and the city tour buses passing the door, Condes de Barcelona is perfectly place to travel in almost any direction and whist I would use a taxi to get to the hotel...

Stayed here with friends but definitely going to bring my wife back here!! The hotel has a really cool vibe - lovely modern decor, super clean and sharp. This is reflected in the service - they make things very smooth so you almost don't notice..The rooftop bar/lounge area is awesome!! great views of the city and just a really nice...

If you don't mind walking 15 minutes along a tree-lined avenue to the old city, then this is the place for you! Very chic, clean, reasonably priced and great location in a high-end residential neighborhood (e.g., Cartier across the street!). Try to get one of the executive rooms with a terrace (only two of them), or an even larger executive...

This hotel has been refurbished and is in a very modern style. It is conveniently located on Passeig de Gracia and my room had a tiny balcony with view diagonally across to La Pedrera. There is a very pleasant rooftop bar where the staff were super friendly, the pizza delicious and the views sensational - well worth an hour or...

Staying in Eixample

Neighbourhood Profile
Eixample
Passing through the glorious Plaça Catalunya, you enter the newer city district of Eixample, literally translated as “extension,” which immediately becomes recognisable by its more spacious streets and elegant atmosphere. The main artery of this sizable district, Passeig de Gracia, is lined with high-end international designer stores. Not to be outdone, the glitz and glamour of this zone is perhaps best exemplified by the comfortable and lavish five-star hotels that flank the divine and modernistic buildings from some of the world’s most recognised architects such as Gaudi and Montaner.

“Our friends had a room overlooking the main street which was noisy at night. We had a room overlooking a side street and it was very quiet.”

“Although the restaurant attached to the hotel is quite expensive (especially breakfast) the cost, quality and quantity of the room service evening menu was excellent. Would recommend that the additional 20 euros per room for 'breakfast included' is a sound investment even though the extent of the 'cooked' offering was limited.”
